Tragedy on my uncle's birthday

This morning, just a few hours ago, my aunt came and informed us that my uncle's(her and my dad's brother) appendix has just burst and has infected his intestines, and today is his birthday. How bad can things go? My aunt said that we could at least pray for his fast recovery as he has just left the operating room and is still in anesthesia. I'm sick with fever, my best friend has gone deranged, and now a family member is in a hospital. Guys, I need your prayers and I'll be very grateful. I know my case isn't probably as bad as some others but if you are in my place, what would be the best thing to do? When I'm feeling a little better I'd go for a visit later. Have you ever had a day when everything just adds up to sadness?
