Did a discussion ever make you have a dream?

The reason I ask, is that it happened to me this weekend. While doing research about the abandoned 6 Flags New Orleans, I looked at several websites about it. I only posted a few of what I thought were the better ones, but I looked at a lot more. Then, I dreamed about it. It could've been a nightmare, but didn't quite make it that scary. Probably because I realized, even in my sleep, where it had come from. I was walking among so of the rides and things were happening, but it was more that I EXPECTED to be scared than actually was BEING scared. Kind of like you KNOWN something scary is going to happen in a scary movie because of the scary music... except it never did... I have to say, this is the first time that anything related to mylot has crept into my dreams, but... Well, it was more because I was doing a good job researching it for you, my friends, rather than anything else. Still, have you ever have anything creep into your dreams because of a discussion, yours or someone else's?

Oh and ooohh, that is spooky, as I do recall the images. They were quite spooky but fun looking and maybe you were somehow subconsciously thinking about them shortly before bed. Did you get a lot of responses? Maybe having to comment on all of them made you think about them continuously. I must admit you were very descriptive from all the responses and comments I did manage to read and the discussion itself was very descriptive too. I have yet to have any dream about any discussion here but who knows it can happen to me someday.

I didn't have that many responses, but I did keep going back and looking at other sites and related (abandoned theme parks) sites and, well, anything abandoned is just totally interesting to me...

I so agree as I took a look at the link and all the pictures in that discussion and it certainly made for some great read. The video was quite interesting too.

I know it has happened to me, but I could not tell you the whole story right now. I remember telling myself in the dream that it was a dream, and even about the discussion, so this does not surprise me that it has happened to you. I am glad that it came to a good conclusion. I used to dream MyLot quite a lot.

well, the fact is that I don't remember most of my dreams, so that I remembered this one meant it was one I had right on waking up, and it was kind of what woke me up... It was interesting tho, probably because I'd love to go so much!

Aww, you were so kind up above! Yeah, I do love history, it was my minor in college - 30 hours of minor! It could've been a double major if I had a foreign language!

I do not remember ever having a dream from a discussion before. I may have though. I do have alot of dreams from sites I visit online though. It is hard to block it out when I visit them every single day.

Yeah... well, this was certainly the first time it was ever so direct - I mean, I've dreamed of a few games, but that wasn't the same, that was staring at the screen and doing shapes, but this was actually walking among the broken rides...

well, I have to admit, I went to the site first, after being pointed in the direction on Twitter, I roamed around some before I decided that it would make a GREAT discussion, then I had to find the best links I could find for you guys! So I spent over an hour maybe over 2 looking at pictures and links

I can honestly say that has never happen to me! You are the first person who has said that! The dream sounds weird and creepy! To me it would be a night mare! If i have a dream and I knew it came from something it would take most of the day to figure where it come from!

But it really wasn't scary, it was just that it was TRYING to be scary... and I'm glad I remembered it because it was as close as I will get to an abandoned theme park!

I don't remember having any dreams about discussions. I have had dreams about being on the computer and when I wake up thinking there is something I have to do but I can't remember what it is. I want to push buttons, but the only button is my snooze alarm.

I've played a few games in my dreams, but this was different, this was walking around the rides and stuff, kind of EXPECTING something that never happens.

No, I can't say that I have. At least if I did, I don't remember. But I can tell you this, in my younger years, I worked for a fast food resturant for a while and it was a full time job. I woke up in the middle of the night saying out loud "Thank you and have a nice day" while passing a tray of the food order the person ordered. LOL I couldn't believe it because I worked the job day in and day out and had to dream about it too?

don't you know I was so into that response I forgot to add that one night after doing 8 hours of "mortgages" for the real estate company I worked for for about 18 months, I went home and dreamed of it for another 8 hours. I asked my boss if I could get over time the next day. he laughed (but that was the intention)

I was talking about a band that I have been in last night, and that caused me to have a dream about it, so I can say that it has happened to me in the past. The thing with dreams is that it is incredibly common for us to dream about things that we have been thinking about during the day, as it is basically our brains just trying to make sense of what we have seen or heard during the day time. This is why we should not watch scary films late at night, because our brains will be thinking about what we have seen there and we are likely to dream about it.

I don't watch scary movies at all, because they do get into my head - but this dream was kind of like - it OUGHT to be scary, but nothing developed!

Sounds creepy...at least you knew where it has come from. I have never had dreams based on a discussion yet..but I have had thoughts during dreams that they were dreams. It didn't stop anything scary from happening though..lol. I think that abandoned theme parks are scary anyway...there is one in Maggie Valley and it is called Ghost Town. It is creepy!!! It is a little town on top of a mountain that is abandoned. Weird.

I remember that! That was a pretty interesting discussion too. Those were haunting images! I probably might have had dreams about them too, if I had dwelled on it that much. Well I can't say that I've ever had a real discussion of any kind influence my dreams, but I have dreamed that I was posting or commenting on discussions. But watch me dream about commenting on this discussion tonight. lol

I've seldom had work, or even fun invade my sleep, but last night I dreamed I was on a beach. I was walking on the sand and was with one or two other people.

I often dream about the last thing I think about before I go to bed. Not all things, but if I have been stressing about something, or spent a lot of time doing something or researching an item, I often will dream about it. I guess it just makes sense that you would dream about a topic that you spent a lot of time researching and you probably were thinking about it right before you went to bed.

If something is on my mind I find that it often creeps into my dreams. I find if something is really bugging me or I'm stressed then it gets into my dreams. Maybe this is a way of coping? I also find that if I'm doing anything repetitive it often gets into my dreams, for example I was painting some fenches and then I dreamt about it. I have an exciting life!

oh yeah, that repetitive thing... I did 8 hours of mortgages at work one day and then went home and dreamed about it all night it seemed... asked the boss if I could get over time... I guess I don't worry too much, more maybe its just that I don't remember the dreams... when I dream, I don't sleep real well so I think I'm not up on my dream time...

I remember the majority of my dreams and some of them are either odd and surreal, things that have been playing on my mind, things I done or said during the day, or premonitions. So remembering dreams isn't always a bad thing

That would have been weird…I can’t say I have ever dreamt about a specific post but I have had dreams about being on MyLot such as signing in and for different reasons not being able to get into the site. It was one of those frustrating dreams when you feel that you are taking one step forwards and two steps backwards! My dream I relate to my frustration of not being able to be here due to lack of time I guess.

I know what you mean - heck I was mylotting along and we had a power blip! took a few minutes to reboot the house... And its not like the weather is bad, unless 100º means bad (well, it does to me...)
