It is plan of India Government limit the supply of LPG on subsidy rate up to 4 to 6 cylinders in a year. Are you think it is enough for a family of 5 member. My reply is no. What is yours?

My reply is too NO. I don't know why are they doing this. Its totally non sense. Means the government should think in all respects. It may be enough for those who have 2-3 members in a family(may be not also),so there's a big NO for the large combined families having more than 4-5 members. I don't know what kind of rule is that.I totally think the Indian government is the biggest idiot in the world.

Hi anil, The reason why they have to do this is because of several reasons.First of all there is a limited supply of gas and added to that is the Indian mentality of having several gas connections per household, hoarding and selling gas in the black market.A gas cylinder today is available if you pay Rs 2800/. All this is done mostly by the middle class people only,so there is no point in crying now and saying that we are going to be hit by this....I dont blame the government for taking some much needed strict measures to control such dealings and my own feeling is that ,once things settle down they may look at other options !

In my own city I know of several people who had multiple connections. The state government has been very strict about this and last year all the people who had gas connection had to furnish the house address proof and pan card details. So, now it is a little better and according to statistics nearly 35% had more than one connection, this in our state only.It would be the same in other states, may be even more or little less...
