I was a huge fan of Devil May Cry as soon as it first came out. I believe it kind of lost its appeal at 3 and then with 4 I had no desire to even complete the game. My question is do you think that the revamped, new take on Devil May Cry could save the series and bring it back to what it used to be? I think it very much has that potential but that it is a very thin line that they must straddle otherwise it will be a totally different thing and only called Devil May Cry in name. My example of something that had a similar line and it failed to balance on it in my opinion is Resident Evil. When 4 came out it was no longer Resident Evil. It was a game that had the characters from Resident Evil in it. Resident Evil 5 was even further removed I think. All opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I too am a fan of devil may cry and so far played all sequels of it except for the new devil may cry 5, resident evil 4 and 5 section played and it was simply awesome,i heard that new one is releasing for the devil may cry saw the trailer it look somewhat ok to me, and the character is the young dante with freak dress, monsters seems not too good, am not impressed though i like that old devil may cry 3, it had a great story and nice character and power play too and music to match the fight.

With the new one coming I have that same caution. The monsters you are right about. If the story maintains strength though I may be able to struggle through it LOL. To me those Resident Evils just weren't anywhere near the caliber of the previous ones in the series. Thank you for your comment.

I am a big Devil May Cry fan too, you're right the fourth install in the series was not worth play as nero. Although Nero has his Devil bringer and all it didn't fill right, the only part worth play in Devil May Cry 4 is Dante's part of the game. I was really surprised with the direction that Capcom is taking the DMC series too. I guess Capcom has milked the series for all it's worth.
