Hello there this is the fourth installment of my combat training series. In this section I will discuss methods of conditioning for combat. Now there are many different ways that you can condition your self for combat. There is muscular conditioning and there is cardiovascular conditioning. First I will discuss muscular conditioning. Now there are many ways that you can condition your muscles for combat. Now a lot of people use weight lifting as there main way of conditioning the muscles and they end up doing the bodybuilding thing. Body building I would not recommend. The route that I would recommend is a combination of calistenics and isometrics. Now there are a lot of callistenic and isometric exercises that you can do. There are also many variations of callistenic and isometric exercises. What I would recommend doing is going to google and searching for different callistenic and isometric exercises. Now as far as cardiovascular conditioning goes there are two main types of cardiovascular conditioning. The first and most common one is aerobic conditioning and the second is anaerobic conditioning. Now even though you need to train with both most fights last less than 60 seconds so you want to work you anaerobic conditioning a little more than your aerobic conditioning. Like twice a week do something like jump rope and three to four times a week do an exercise that I learned called M-100s. To do M-100s start off with doing 10 sqaut thrusts, immediately followed by 10 mountain climbers with each leg, immediately followed by 10 squat jumps. Then you repeat the sequence again until you have done a total of 100 reps.
