Hello Lotters, This is a sad and bad events happening in Internet and PC games shops in Mandaluyong Area were taken as criminal targets by these New criminals. It was mentioned that these computer shops still operational even in the Late morning. I know there is a computer shop in front of our House that was online late in the morning. But some how it's closing a night and not staying late, I bet our neighbor told them to limit their hours. Well, there's a lot Entrepreneurs who ran computer Shops. I hope they are very much careful here indeed. but it's a good thing they have this CCTV cameras spotting these crooks. the first hasn't been found yet, the second incident by two scumbags where captured. Specially to my Friend to be-careful, hire big buys and out CCTV camera's. Life is getting hard per day. even if we having commercial center we still have things to pay. Comment you Later....

Unfortunately computer parts and games are costly and very popular, making them a perfect target. All the owner can do is up security and close early if they must. And, the world isn't going to get any better, as you and I know, but in the future, this old world will pass away and there will be a new world..

Still, there are those who can't afford even second hand things, so crime does exists here too..

Hello Carmala, I don't know about in COmputer shops there because any one can have a second hand type or those who aren't that old but can still be bought. Things aren't going to be too good as long as enterpreneurs, would always consider putting security personel and not depending on the CCTV camera alone. have a nice day.

actually, i notice that incidents like that, never fix or selects any time, but it could happen any time.... it usually happened at the time you are not aware of, and at the time you are not prepared of... i lost my loading cellphone in my sari-sari store at exactly 7:00 in the morning.... and during that incident, now i have forced to buy 5 sensor alarming burglar devices and 1 teargas just in case..... those theft intruders, "lighting lang ang walang ganti" (Lighting to those intruders without retaliation), since they winner winner me all the time, they have day's and hours to prepared of...

I really those guys, especially they were just like in their early 20s. What a bunch of losers! In fact, I was a victim of a holdup when I was a kid and now whenever I hear people shout "Magnanakaw", I also run and try to capture them and punch or kick his face and groin. That is what I hate here in our country, I think the main reason on this is the poverty but I will not tackle it since it is very delicate topic. I saw the news last night and they caught two robbers and the reporter asked why did they do it and one guy answered, "Lasing lang po kasi ako nun". Was that a reasonable answer? lolz. I think one solution here is additional police visibility or barangay tanods.

Hello nystrisco, Better be careful because some of them might be having fire arms or sharpened device. poverty is the reason for crimes and rebellion in this country. barangay tanods and police visibility is actually something that are a bit more unrealistic because we lack police force and lack of men. we should have our own defense devices. have a nice day.

dear LK, This bad guys will always have their target, and even have it planned well. But there will be a right time for them to pay for everything. Maybe not here on earth, but in the judgment that heavens will do. So,let them enjoy their time now...and suffer for eternity.

Hello Jaiho Sis, That's right this is something that we shoudn't always consider going to net shops at night. I hope one day they can be arrested, but some where along the road we should do our best in terms of security. I believe it's the expenses, but for the good of the business and security of the entrepreneurs. have a nice day.

as what i noticed, the more the criminals are getting successful to their black activities.... the more they fails.... why? it is because, everything that they are successfully robbed someone, it increased the urge to make the next activity more budget and more money to robbed soon.... meaning, the chances of being caught and failure is increasing.... until the time that they are surprised that they are fall into trap and entered jail, it's too late already.... therefore.... it is better to be caught soon, the sooner the caught the better... at least, they have a chance to think and to change attitude to be good earlier... because when you are caught very later, the more the air is used as a source seed... the more the typhoon you will harvest... nothing is invincible.... even election gate scandal is caught.... even fertilizer scam scandal is caught.... even zte scam scandal is caught.... even military scandal is caught... how about robbers, thefts, burglars, intruders??????? they should noticed and remember it.... no matter which side of lines you are in the triangle going up... it will only meet the two end lines at the top.... this is also applies if you have two girlfriends or two boyfriends secretly... sooner or later, those two will meet each other and reveal the truth.... no fix date when or where, it will just reveal....

That is true, thieves, big and small now see internet cafes as perfect places to hatch their crimes. We have to be careful with our belongings and these net cafes should have cameras everywhere so the faces of these hoodlums will be posted in YouTube.

Hi Letran, How sad that robbers and thieves take full advantage of others. I can see why they are closing earlier and limiting the usage because they are potentially at risk as some robberies usually do occur at night. It is best they continue to surveillance and catch any and or all repeat offenders. Also too the cameras if they are being watched carefully they can potentially stop someone who is attempting.

Hello Hardworkinggurl, I remember a big store that I also go to. they always close around six inthe evening for some reason. then, I've heard from a family friend that the store was robbed before that's why they started closing early. I believe those people will be more cautious with how they will entertain people. have a nice day.

here is another thing.... from opening up to closing, no matter what time is it.... especially if there are plenty of costumers and even few... their first target is the electronics gadgets of the internet users or pc gamers... cellphone placed by costumers beside their keyboard while busy playing counterstrike.... or etc.... the second potential target is the pocket in the back of the jeans of the users as well as their shoulder bags put beside their chairs.... the cash register or cash box of the internet cashier is the third potential target.... and finally, the potential possible entry if that internet station is closed, when and where to attack without noticed....

actually, for me, CCTV is not a good defense against bad intruders... because what the CCTV did is a recorded video of the past and not that actual that will give the alarm to the police station that help is in need.... you'll only self-pity if you only watch how did those criminals do it and not caught... CCTV is only good for a sort of evidence if those criminals are successfully caught... but the best defense against these intruders is to have at least 5 sensor alarms (500 Philippine pesos or up to 1,000 Php each) and it could buy at ACE Hardware or Handy Man in Philippine malls.... burglar alarm (5 units) is the first stepping stone for those criminals to not continue their plan because it is now alarming buzz and before they "About Face" to retreat, a cctv camera already recorded their face (if they aren't wearing masks) and that is only what a cctv camera can do it's service.... i have a very small sari-sari store but i have 5 burglar alarms ( 3 on the outside and 2 in the inside) the setup is: each burglar(sensor) alarm are facing each other like a star shaped, that when those intruders disconnect one of my alarm, the other 4 alarms are facing each other and making dizzy for those criminals which is the first to disconnect.... i cover it with electrical tape (to which the color of the alarm device casing is the same with the color of the electrical tape) in order for those intruders not to locate where did those sound beeping goes.... because they couldn't easily find where the LED lit flashes.... that is my purpose for taping those led..... and don't forget to buy a peppermint teargas, in case of emergency, just aim your teargas in the secret hole that you created and shoots at the other side of the wall to where your store is..... those criminals are not only busy located to where those alarm located but also busy covering their sensitive body areas because an irritant gasses came out from the teargas..... nyahahahahaha

Hello Mantis, THat I agree with you, it's only good for identifying criminals but what if they're faces are covered? Wow censor alarms are a bit more less expensive compare to the thousand expensive CCTV. well, this is an open shops, unless there is an automated lock down door on stores, I believe you that there should be added security sensors. Have a nice day.

their faces are covered in order not to exposed their faces when zoom-in and print out on the printer.... and a temporary defense against store owner's peppermint teargas.... but what those burglar sensor alarm does is primary to avoid confrontation.... those irritating sounds automatic calls for a help is in need.... and those burglars are no choice but to retreat or else... they suffer the consequences of the people there with clubs and bolos and paddles ready to beat them for a great lesson they will never forget before forwarding them to the police.... you win the combat without fighting... note: always have a company at the other side of the wall where there is a secret hole to where he secretly insert his tear gas just in case.... and for him to call authorities if noticed something fishy going on... as the burglar never expected that there is one of your company(acted also as a store guard) assigned in that area and never leave in that secret wall, he can also do desktop publishing and typing jobs there helping the work/job to finish soon.... be sure that his presence there remains secret especially to the costumers and friends.....

criminal minds are looking at easy prey for their criminal activities. now, they turn to internet and computer shops because of the lack of security. the robbers are taking advantage of the inability of these shops to hire security guards and the unholy hour or late at night operations of these shops. the CCTV may help, but the police must track down these robbers and put them in jail.

Hello Mensab, In this scenario, it was done due to poverty and desperation. Filipinos are terrible of doing such acts, this is something that we shouldn't to take risk. I think it's also safe that security guards should reduce their business hours and not spend on the evennings. i know they earn at night but it's dangerous now. have a nice day.

I thank my mother for submitting in buying me a PC and subscribing to an internet provider. I have been long annoyed in the noises, the heat and other inconveniences of a computer shop. And of course, there is always the incidence of theft. I nearly lost all my USBs before I owned my computer. Good thing that some shops do have the initiative to have CCTV installed in their shops. At least, the crime can be reported and there is evidence involved. It also helps that people are being monitored, even though some will cry foul on their right to privacy. I guess it always helps to a person to be attentive even when using the computer.

Hello Jeanne, Thanks for the CCTV camera's the suspect has been located and arrested, except those group of people who didn't cover their faces after getting the stuff, money and equipment coming from the customers and it's owners. but for now, since this happened, such thing can happen again if they don't put security guards. Have a Nice day.

hello, computer shops have been targets for a long time simply because they are vulnerable and easy prey to criminals, for one it seldom has guards, people in it are too preoccupied playing or whatever that they are doing that they forget being safety conscious, mostly it's dark, air conditioned and hard to see if there is a commotion inside, a lot of of expensive and easy to sell to fences equipment inside. Yes CCTV will help but I hope they also have panic buttons and alarms

Hello Louievill, Even with Malls like the ones that has MetaCafe Internet shops doesn't have that muchy security for the customers. luckily that we have a police outpost that can be our support in case some thing comes here. we also have some barangay tanod observing the place. we have to be careful still specially to your young relatives who use internet shops. have anice day.

Hello Ciasigurl, That's the problem when students get addicted to online games, if they have time they will play their favorite game regardless of the things that's happened. There's security on Computer Shops and thats how these people were able to do their act but a few cases that people are captured because there'sa CCTV camera. Have a nice day.
