Converting egg substitute to regular egg

i found a yummy recipe for a blueberry oat bar desert but since it's off a healthy cooking site it has egg substitute listed instead of actual eggs. Does anyone know what the conversion of actual egg to egg substitute is? I think the kids would dig this dish but it doesn't list what it would be with real eggs. It requires 1/4c egg substitute.

As I recall, 1/4 C egg replacement is the same as one whole egg. I am not convinced that for the average person egg replacers are healthier than whole, natural eggs.

I have no idea I'm not on any special diet so we do regular eggs in my house but since the family has been on an "oat" kick I thought this would fit in nicely but since i don't use the substitute nor a reason to do so I had no idea what it would be to convert it to a standard hen laid egg.

There is an old saying that is very true- 'You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear!' This means that to make something worthwhile, you need to begin with a worthwhile item. Only a hen can make a real healthy egg, anything else man-made, is a poor substitute!

You've had some good answers here but remember that egg substitute is just eggs without the yolks and some yellow coloring. Just egg whites. If you want to include the yolk by using a whole egg that's fine. The white contains most of the protein while the yolk has all the cholesterol. Another substitute that's healthy--not that you're asking --is applesauce in place of butter or margarine. Use half applesauce for half or all of the margarine called for and you'll save a lot of calories and it'll taste just as good.

I'm sure you got your answer by now, but I am fairly certain 1/4 c substitute equals 1 whole egg.
