Okay I know we have all seen the people maybe on television that wereppor and maybe some people these days pushing their grocery baskets around on the street and I am trying not to laugh because I know that that kind of thing is still happening in the world today but what I really don't get is why the Dollar Store Baskets and Target baskets? What in the world I see them on the way home it is like someone was walking and got close to home and said oky well leave the basket there in the alley or on the strret!! L.O.L. Why do people do that? Can they not just leave the basket there? Have you seen this alot?

I used then last time I moved house! It was so close that it wasn't worth hiring a truck. So it took a little time, but in a few trips everything was moved. It's really amazing how much weight those things can carry!

It's like that by my IL's house. They do their shopping at wal-mart or pick'n save then haul the cart across the street to the bus stop then ditch the carts there. Seems that happens alot in areas where people don't drive. Or are too lazy to buy one of those carts that fold up and you can sometiems hang off a grocery cart. I recall hubby used to say that that it was big business in AZ for a company to go out and pick up all the carts then charge the grocery stores for returning them!

Yea I think some people are just lazy anymore, I just can't see pushing the thing around after pushing the baskets around the store anyway and it is just too hot here too be doing that and I wouldn't do it anyway.

Well I do not live near a store so I cannot say I would see it here, but since I also live in a City that would fine people for using a cart like this, it does not happen. I know there are smaller towns I have seen these at, or at Bus Stops, park n rides, etc. and it makes you wonder. But personally sometimes I think people just end up buying too much and do not have a Car so they consider using the cart to help get their stuff home never bothering to consider how the cart is ever going to get back to the store again.

I don't see it very often where I live. However, about 2 hours away we have basket central. All the bums live on the same block. So I call it basket central. I think they steal the dollar store or target carts because the fine for stealing is less if the item stolen is cheap. I can bet they wouldn't steal a cart from Norstroms. Of course, my guess is Norstroms wouldn't even let them in the building. Too snooty for bums. As for taking the basket all the way home. If they took the cart all the way home, it would be easier for the cops to find them. Now that I think about it, they should take the cart home, get arrest and thrown in jail. Then they would receive room and board at our expense. Best Wishes!
