Dear mylotters, as I have seen both ways of writing the word "center/centre", I wonder if someone can explain me wether there is any difference. For example, how would you write: 'medical center' or 'medical centre'?

"centre" is the UK or British spelling, used often by Scots and Irish, too, or anyone who has learned English in Great Britain. "Center" is the Americanized version, so anyone who lives there or has learned to write English in the USA, will spell it like that. They're both the same word and both spellings are correct.

Thanks for the information. It's an interesting question: which form do people use in Australia?
