Obama, Boehner and Reid colluded to pull the Constitution out from under us all. This committee will write bills, which will be fast tracked through the two houses of Congress without opportunity for amendment... it has to be taken as is.
Since the House members and Senators are supposed to be the voices of We the People and the States, this "committee" will silence our voices at the federal level.
This is completes the Republican/Democrat Mafia's assault on the US and our Constitution.
I've often said that both major parties need to be investigated for RICO Act violations, but with this it goes further. Obama, Boehner and Reid deserve to be sent to GITMO... or better yet, one of the "secret CIA camps".

Well I don't think that the formation of this Super Committee which has the job of creating a Bill that cuts a certain number from the budget is in anyway unconstitutional as Congress is just shifting part of its job to 12 of them to do it all for them. And well the 12 will have to create a bill that will pass both the house and the Senate without any changes to it. Which that within itself will be no easy task as if they don't like it they will kill it and then they would possibly have to either make changes to it themselves and then there is also the fact that if they don't get it done by a date 1.2 Trillion will be cut from the budget.
So I don't see this as taking the rights of the people away as this committee will still be of house of representatives and Senators so they are both being represented and Congress has decided that they just don't want to do all that stuff. Once again the Republicans and the Democrats have shown that for the most part they don't want to actually do any real work. Not when they can create a new committee to do the job.

There are no provisions in the US Constitution allowing the House and Senate to write bills together. In fact, they aren't supposed to.
It also makes it so the only Senators or House members allowed a voice are the ones on the committee. That silences the voice of EVERY person in all the districts not represented.
It flies in the face of our entire representative republic.
Quit accepting criminal activity from our elected officials.

Also, according to the US Constitution all bills that raise revenue have to originate in the House. So this "Super Committee" can't constitutionally write any bills that raise revenue.

Apart from that, "the formation of a new committee to find savings," which I heard one of those bozos say the other day, has to be the biggest oxymoron in history.
One thing we can ALL know, despite our personal politics: Holdups in Washington aren't about finding what's best for the people. They're about finding what's best for the politicians.

I agree that both major parties need to be investigated. This Republican/Democrat Mafia's assault on the US was further supported by the media coverage as described in the following link:

Oh, the incompetent press has been the propaganda arm for a long time now. Honest reporters have been jumping ship.
