I had been thinking of doing some freelance writing but did not know where to begin. I turned to mylotters and was given a wealth of good information. It took a while but I managed to submit a piece to Associated Content. And they accepted my article. Not only that, I got an upfront payment.
I am beginning this discussion for two reasons: first, to thank all mylotters who advised, supported and guided me. But secondly, to let other mylotters know that I did have success with Associated Content. I have been in several discussions with mylotters also hoping to do some freelance writing and curious about Associated Content.

Congratulations to you. I also want to do some freelance writing work, but I'm actually nervous as to how the editors would respond to what I'll write. Your story is an inspiration to me. Congratulations again!

I did not know what to expect. I took a risk, wrote something, submitted it and held my breath. The worst that can happen is that your article gets rejected but you will be told why. However, it could also get accepted.

This is very exciting for me. I do plan to keep writing. I hope that this was not just beginners luck. And yes, mylot is a very helpful site. I had never heard of Associated Content until I read a discussion on mylot.

I belong to that site as well and I do make some extra money there. I enjoy writing for them and I will continue as long as they are there. I am glad that you had success there and I hope that you have done more writing since then. Keep working and before long your articles will be earning you money while you sleep.

That is what I am hoping and trying for. I am experiencing some frustration as I continue to try to do some freelance writing.
I have published two articles of AC. I am awaiting approval on the third. It seems that it takes a long time before getting an article approved.
I have just had an article published on Triond. It is too early to see if I will earn from it.
And I have just ATTEMPTED to publish an article on Squidoo. I am having a lot of trouble trying to understand what is wanted. I read reviews and others say that it is so easy. And I am finding it so difficult. I have spent way too much time today trying to figure out the modules.
Any suggestions on other sites that I might like to try out?

That is wonderful Congratulations to you for the success. Associated Content is one of the highly rated online writing sites. I have also joined this program since writing has been my hobby for some years now. I do also write articles and short stories as and when I have the time for them.

I just submitted another article yesterday. AC has actually published two of my articles. One is doing real well, the other not so well. I am looking forward to doing more writing for them.

Thanks. This was my first submission. I did not know what to expect. I just got the good news and I am so excited. I am on vacation now but once I get home and settled in, I hope to write more.
