Hi. Do u think that the tourist coming to india is treated as GOD. We see that the foreigners are raped by some anti social elements, which makes the India a bad tourist spot. But on brighter side we see that usually in Indian villages, the foreigners look more relaxed and gets mingle up easily. So u think the Aathithi Devo Bhava means "Treat guests as God" still followed in india. cheers.

Anywhere you go on this planet, there will be some anti-social elements. However the number is very small. It is really unfortunate that such incidents happen in India but then it can't be helped. It has happened everywhere to foreigners. However since we stay in India, we come to know of incidents happening here more often than elsewhere. But overall, Indians are still very understanding and even if they do not treat foreigners as God, they are the best hosts possible.

I dont think one or 2 bad incidents would make india a bad tourist spot.Did you know that the raped women were actually on the street/beach at mid night after 1am or so.Even a small child knows that going to a beach after mid night alone is asking for trouble in any country in the world, leave alone poor countries.Indian women dont go out of their house alone after 9 o clock at night and before 5 in the morning.Thats why we have very less cases of rape than other countries.
