When are you too old for plastic surgery?

An 83 year old widow decided it was time for modest breast implants. She did it before telling her children and grandchildren. It seems many people over 60 are opting for plastic surgery, some having saved up for years to be able to do it. Personally, if money was no object, I might have some work done myself. I have a flabby chin and neck and arms that flap in the wind from years of losing and gaining weight. Those two things have always bothered me, so I wouldn't mind getting my arms done and a facelift. Is it ever too old?

If you are healthy and money is not an object, then you are never too old. And probably some doctor will be willing to do it. I wonder, if I ever lose the weight I am fighting, if I am going to have hanging folds.

Your willingness or Unwillingness is not going to matter. The doctor should say if you are fit for the surgery or not.

I guess it depends on the person's general health.
I'd certainly have some work done if I could afford it.

I think people should be able to get implants at any age they choose so long as they are adults. I personally would like to have some work done myself I have been thinking of it for a while, I don't know if I will do it b/c it is so risky, and I don't want to put my life in danger for the sake of my looks, I'm still undecided about it.

well I don't think that plastic surgeries are people who need it, for example me I am earning some pounds in my belly, I think I need one but anyway I wouldn't do it, because I prefer the workout and diets, but I am not against that all the people who want to try it, go ahead, it is not about the age is about how do you feel about yourself. Thanks for begin this smart discussion.

Aww I find that really sad. Sad that maybe that woman had to save up her whole life just to be able to afford them. Sad that at that age she is so concerned about her looks. Sad at how it must feel to get that old and see how much your body has changed and have to deal with it. I would have plastic surgery if I had money to blow. I would get implants!

Personally, you are always too old for plastic surgery unless it is for reconstructive purposes. There is no reason for it except for that. It has become a perversion used for people to achieve a fake look that is no longer them yet they try to claim it is. I see where you worry about yours but it still is not a reason for plastic surgery.
Now on a non-personal note, people have the right to do what they want. I don't say any age may be too old but there is too young and that line has been crossed many times by people that are not even adults yet trying to look like a perfect adult.
