I'm being sent for a long sleep study

I am being sent for a long sleep study. It starts at night and goes all day. They want to double check on whether or not I have sleep apnea, but also check for narcolepsy. I will be at the hospital for an overnight and all day stay, but the insurance approved it so I will find out tomorrow when I have to go.

This is great to hear that you will be having this testing as it can determine what is going on and perhaps they will be able to treat you so that you can get rid of the issue. I am glad to hear that the insurance approved it as insurance companies are such pains.
My boyfriend had a sleep study about 2 years ago and although it was approved by the insurance we are still fighting the bill.

I would think you would know if you had narcolepsy. I think it will be a bummer to be hooked up to all of those wires for several hours. I wish you a good outcome. You sure have a lot of medical concerns. I hope things get better for you soon. Best Wishes!

I think this is a really good test for you. I am glad insurance improved it. Finding out just what your situation is will allow you to address it and have a healthier life.

I want to do such a test too, but I don't have insurance.

I think its good for you as they will detect any health anomalies.If there is some thing wrong they can prescribe corrective action on your part.They also can prescribe medication for any health problem.It is better things relating to health are detected early rather than ignoring the.From your long term health point of view i think these tests are useful for you.
