I have a three year old who is fully potty trained but he now wets the bed every night. Before the summer began I fully trained him even at night time. He went to my moms in Florida for three weeks and now it seems every night he wets the bed no matter what I did before to stop it. I tried to cut off his drink time. I tried to make him pee about three times before bed but it seems he always finds pee left for the middle of the night. I do not know what else to do and my washer just broke so now I have to take tons of blankets to the laundry mat. I do not know what else to do help please!

Oh wow, I use to have this problems when I was little...My mother used to get mad and honestly it continued for me until I was about 8 or 10...kinda embarrassing to post it where everyone can see...so try putting diapers on him, it may reduce the amount enough so that the bed does not get wet, also I suggest putting a plastic cover on the mattress so it doesn't get stained or to avoid having it smell like pee. Hope this helps a bit...

I already have my baby girl in diapers and I can barely afford that so I do not want to buy diapers for two children I just want to get him back potty trained, I think the plastic on the matress I should definitely try though!

He could just be having a little anxiety. With him being gone away from you for three weeks his routine has been thrown off as well. I would keep doing what your doing, perhaps get a plastic cover sheet for the bed at like the dollar store. Keep talking with him about potting train and basically keep doing what you did with him at the beginning of his potty training. Talk with him about rewards he could possibly get if he makes it through the night without wetting the bed. Kids love getting rewards. And let him know that if he needs to go at all throughout the night to let go or let you know. Perhaps he may be scared of going to the bathroom at night since he was at a different place for 3 weeks.

He use to wake up and cry for me when he would have to go to the bathroom and I noticed since he got back he has not done this yet, I am not sure how my mom handled his night time. I know she also had my sisters kid and she was in pull ups the whole time. So I am wondering if she got him use to pull ups again so now he feels he can be lazy again. I do not know.

The obvious way to retrain your child is to fix it so he will be as uncomfortable as possible when he is wet. To do this he should be in cotton pjs or even training pants. Put a plastic cover over the mattress to keep it dry and also this keeps the wetness from soaking in (which will be cold a few minutes after he is wet. Do not rush to his relief when he begins to cry. If you let him suffer some he will learn even more quickly.

Tried it and it does not work on him. He will sit in the pee all day long if I let him after he gets up!

I think he is just feeling a bit of anxiety or insecurity for being away from home for 3 weeks. I think if you continue what you are doing, he would normalize soon enough.
Speaking of appliance breaking down, my dryer also just broke down, so I also have to bring my stuff to the laundry mat.

Yes so you can understand my frusteration. The more he pees the more I have to wash. I went and washed my clothes at the Laundry mat and spent almost twenty dollars and that was not even drying them. I put all the clean clothes n trash bags and dried them at home myself so that took all day as well.

I had to wash clothes today and the hardest part was not finding a baby sitter. So there I am trying to wash clothes with a 1 year old and a 3 year old.

this is a big problem.
However, it is three years but has trained you know obviously need to continue to insist he will ottuchi.
However, when normal sleep is, remembered
Child is what to do.
I do not worry you have a little patience.
I know he already had enough of your laundry but true.
In an extreme case see if it's not led him to review.
Have a nice day!
Success!...

I have the same problem with my 7-year-old son. When we are still in the Philippines, he doesn't pee in bed anymore since he turned 5. We just moved from the Philippine to the USA and now every morning when I check him out, he is wet. I always make him go to the bathroom before bed time and cut his drinks too but it didnt seem to work. Now, I guess the reason why its because he is still adjusting and its cold here up in where we live. Back home, its hot and humid. I guess it has something to do with the new environment and all the changes.
