hi fellow mylotters, as they say, being the eldest is not that easy. as almost all tough and bigger responsibilities are being put down on your shoulder. just as what my parents did to me. since i was the eldest among the four siblings, i need to be a role model. aside from that, i need to take care and watch over them. so for me, it is indeed true that being the eldest was not an easy task.

hi:) Yes I know because I am the eldest and when our parents are not here, I'm the one whose in charge of the house and to my brother too,and make sure that I gave him the right example, but what's nice about it is because of that expectations from my parents and from my brother I become more responsible not only for myself but as well to my brother.

indeed. being the eldest is kind a training ground for you to be responsible. since you are the next parent whenever your mom and dad are not around.

I will never feel how it is to be the eldest because i am the youngest in the family. But i do agree with you because the eldest in the family usually is the one who always has to make big decisions, watch over the other siblings and should always show strength and acts as a role model.

hello there somethingbig, well apparently you are quite lucky since you are the youngest among the siblings. as in you need not to be a role model. aside from that, your task is not as big as the one that i have. though i believe that everyone has its own task needed to do. how i wish to be the youngest but it seems like this is the journey of my life.

I too am the eldest. And yes, growing up, it looked liked I had more responsibilities than my siblings. It also meant I had to achieve more than I could so that I could set examples for my brother and sister. In the end, it's really not being the eldest or not, I think. It's more of the upbringing of the parents. If they chose to make you more responsible, then I don't think it isn't really a bad thing.

hi, i think being eldest really not easy in real life, because i have seen that in my brother which is the eldest of us. the task of eldest is not like the task of the youngest.and i am so thankful because i am not the eldest one to shoulder everything.

what you said is true. being the eldest is tough, but you will also gain a lot of things that will help you build your character, help you mature, and have the trust of your parents if you are a responsible son/daughter. so for me, being an eldest is also a blessing.

for my entire life i heard this line from my eldest brother. lucky enough that he has been a very good role model for everyone. in my case i am the youngest and only girl among 5 siblings.

I only have one brother and I'm older than him. . Its fun to be the older one though it may carry some responsibilities. I need to help him in doing school works and school projects. And I think that, its just appropriate that I help him, since when I was a child, it was my parents who helped me. And now that I'm older and have the capacity to extend my help to my younger brother, I might as well help him in his school works or other things.
