i have a friend who is studying in UK. she is from Philippines who is one of those dreamer to have a study and work visa in UK. currently, her college is suspended is about to be closed soon. she just arrived 5 months ago. she paid the full tuition 4,895 GBP and now the college is closed. she is told to transfer to a different college which means she has to pay 3,300 GBP for the same course because the tuition that she paid is not transferrable. she opted to just go home and get a refund from her fully paid tuition but the college said it is not refundable. do you think that is fair?

i also do not agree with the college policy and i think it is so unfair for her. maybe she could file a complaint with the higher authorities.

I absolutely don't agree with the schools policy. I'm a senior in college and I just can't wait to get out and graduate. I never got the memo that schools are operated as a business. My school cares for nothing more than money. I think your friend needs to talk to a lawyer because that amount of money is big especially if his or her parents are not well of.

i completely agree but she is also scared because the school staff said that a lot of lawyers around are just waiting for victims to rip off with money.
