Planking leads to death

So everyone is planking it nowadays if you don't know what planking is it's basically when you lay straight on your stomach on top of balcony's or any high surfaces. A man died a few months ago from doing this ridiculous game and fell down seven stories this is not a fun game people are putting their lives at risk, Its like everyone or should I say mostly teens are doing this ridiculous game some of them even have pictures on Facebook where they are planking why is everyone doing this dangerous game?

It is a common sense that you will die , if ever something went wrong with your planking over a ledge in a high place. 
I don't know, but i find people who does this in a dangerous place as weird. Don't they have better things to do in life anymore?
