Probably you already notice how expensive textbooks gonna cost you in college, and besides basic tuition, most students would seek an economic way to save money from all sort of resources. Especially textbook, which might cost around over $100 per one, even though a used one was quite expensive also. To accommodate average students need, Amazon would launch a program that allows students to rent all kind of textbook through their "Kindle". Students can rent it for a whole semester, or they can rent it for a couple of months to a year. That is pretty cool deal, and it is indeed economic. I just wonder if our students without a Kindle, would an average e - reader work with this rental program too?

I think that is an excellent plan Amazon is offering. Yes, with the cost of text book getting so high, this will very much help students of all years. A lot of saving who buy text books, and affordable way for those who just cannot buy books.

Being in college myself (as a grad student) I love the idea of renting the textbooks instead. My husband is working towards his Bachelor's degree and rents his books as well. It is a lot cheaper and also there is less of a chance of having a big clutter. I wish more people would rent their books.

This is a fantastic idea! Not only will the students' backs be spared from lugging all that weight around, but now their wallets will be spared to! Amazon's approach saves space and money, so I think what they have going here is awesome! Now we just need to work on the rest of college - starting with the ridiculous tuition! Students should be able to get an education without taking on debts that will take a lifetime to pay back. However this is a first step in the right direction!
