There is this colleague of mine who have been the source of people's stares and negative rumors. Other people never want to work with her; she is lazy, she acts as if superior over others, she doesn't help. So there is no question why one may see her go home or eat alone. One time, she was transferred into our department, we started noticing the difference then. She works fast-paced contrary to what people say, she is courteous to me and the people at our department. I started questioning myself then why people are talking that way about her. I guess we have different perspective. She must have also noticed that because long after she resigned and we got to see each other, she hugged me and said, "Thank you. Only when I was working with you, I felt welcome". I made a friend out of someone others misunderstood. :-)

I guess it's important that we don't take whatever others say at face value.

Yup, I agree that we should have our own convictions so that we won't be easily swayed.

We should not believe on the grapevines going on in the work place. Only trust what you see and felt. Its a good thing that you were her friend and she felt welcomed working with you.
Now through out her life she would be thankful to you and your friendship.

hello,
Ohh? maybe other people just dont understand who she really are. They just judge her because they think she is different from other. but it seems that when she transfer in your department you see who she really is. And I think you build a good friendship to her. Maybe other people just envy to her. Just try to know her more and you will see. Why does other people keep on judging her? alright?
