Dozed off for a minute

I usually get up several times during the night for a potty run. Partly age, I guess, but partly because of lymphedema. That just means my lymphatic system doesn't work as well as it should anymore in removing fluids from my lower extremities. I wear compression hose to keep my legs healthy and from retaining water. All of that means, when I lay down at night, gravity helps to remove the fluids left over from the day. I've gotten used to taking 2 hour naps all night long. But yesterday I was reading my Nook until 2:30 a.m. and then I didn't want to waste too much time sleeping late so got up at 9:30 which means I didn't get my "8 hours". So after a few hours of blogging, and reading news and starting discussions on mylot, I dozed off on the loveseat! Now, I'm good! I'm refreshed and back on my laptop! LOL

For various reasons I am often up and down all night. Sometimes I even doze off in the computer chair. I guess that is the time it would pay me to take off and go to the gym. Naps are good for you, though, so enjoy.

I do not have the problem of getting up often in the middle of the night for "pee breaks", although I vividly remember doing that for both my pregnancies. In fact, when I was very large and couldn't move quickly at the end of my last one, I jokingly said that I was just going to leave a pan by the side of the couch (I couldn't get in and out of bed by that time) and go in the pan rather than trying to waddle to the bathroom several times a night.

It doesn't matter how much sleep I get. If I sit in front of this computer looking at the screen for very long, my eyes just close.

I often have a snooze on the loveseat after getting through my email, etc. Does a body a world of good.
