Circles

I recently approached a friend who's a psychologist. He told me that the human mind operates in circles. What does that mean? It means we do the same thing over and over again. He also stated that that's the reason why if something new happens, we get excited over it because, well.. it's something new. If you don't believe me, just observe the people in your office, classroom, apartment, house, dorm, etc.. Plus, notice those who create hoaxes about UFOs, aliens and the end of the world. Believe me, there were times when I took a look up on these things and were fascinated about them but I'm truly a non-believer. I even tried forcing myself but I wasn't successful at it. Take time to notice how that certain officemate always takes a break and smokes, or that certain classmate who picks on his nose every once in a while. Maybe that's why there are women who complain "Why do I always end up with a guy like this?!" or that dorm mate who always says "I'm short for rent this month again." Quickly, Linkin Park's hit Breaking The Habit comes to mind. I know Chester wrote that because of his drug addiction but I can roughly relate it to what I'm trying to state here. I'm turning more and more into an observer these days since I don't really wanna mingle with my officemates, I'm just avoiding conflict, that's all. Anyway, if this is true, so is making the mistakes over and over again. It's like entering the wrong password over and over again. If the command prompt says wrong password, you've gotta try something new, right? If you know you're doing something wrong, you've gotta find the right thing to do and do that. See, even the most complicated things, when you're troubleshooting, this concept is also included. x + 1 = 3 what is x? If it's not 1, why not try 2, right? I'm sure you know what basic thing I'm stating here. It's not going to be that easy with regard to other things but if we want results, why not do something different? I have no real question here, I'm just trying to reflect on what I've observed so far. The office is a jungle indeed. For some, it is survival of the fittest. For me, it's survival of the wisest. I try to think of my through things these days but that would be a different discussion I'll have to start one day.
