My continuing efforts to be a writer

I love writing and believe that I have some talent. I became aware that many mylotters earn money by writing on various internet sites. I began and responded to discussions having to do with freelance writing. I had never heard of these sites until I became a mylotter. With the help and support of mylotters, I learned about and joined Triond, Associated Content, Squidoo and most recently Helium. I just joined Helium and have not written anything for the site yet. I have published one article on Triond. I feel that it was a very good article but it has not yet had one view in over a week. Apparently, Triond is having some problems and many mylotters are unhappy with the site. I do not plan to submit anything more to Triond at this time. I now have three articles published on Associated Content. I must have had beginner's luck because they gave me $5 upfront for my first article and I am also eligible for performance payments. AC would not pay me upfront for my other two articles and they are receiving some views but not very many. The third one was just published yesterday and I think that it has had one view thus far. I had a terrible time trying to understand how to develop a lens for Squidoo. The first one was difficult but the second was much easier. I look forward to my third lens. I have had several views and some likes but so far no earnings. So there you have it. I have a couple of questions. Regarding Squidoo -- how do you earn money on this site? And what about points? I keep earning points. What can I do with them? Regarding AC and performance payments. I have earned 40 cents from one article and one cent from another. I am aware that I will get $1.50 after 1,000 views. Is that per article or do I get $1.50 for 1,000 total view of all my articles?
