I need some help file conversion software

Lately, I got a PDF format of document from a friend with combination of text and chart. I do want to make some modification on this file, but it is in PDF extension, and I just wonder what kind of software should I look for to edit the content in this file? I tried PDF editor, it wasn't free though. And I tried PDF escape, it wasn't work at all. So, I just wonder if someone can guide me on some easier software which allow me to do editing straightforward? Thanks!

If the PDF is not protected, a search will give you many online converters. If there is a privacy concern, you might be interested by a small and free software, Xournal : you can import, annotate, and save a PDF with it. You will find Xournal here : http://xournal.sourceforge.net/

I assuming you are looking for a PDF to Word conversion program and I hope you will find the 2 recommendations below suitable for use.
1. PDF To Word Doc Converter (Link below)
Free PDF to Word Doc Converter gets a few things wrong, but eventually will land you the DOC output you want.
Impressively, it offers one of the cleanest and most accurate free PDF-to-DOC conversions around. Users can change the output path and name, convert an entire document or just specific pages, and ditch images in the source PDF if need be.
From there, it goes a bit downhill. The option to open the output DOC in WordPad didn't function when we tested it, nor did the All Pages button.
