Mopedding it up (continued)

So now that I have a job I was looking at the scooter depot and looking at mopeds. There's those that go up to 60 mph for a good price. I figure the prices are going down as the winter months are setting in. With the prices having gone down, I can't see why I wouldn't be able to get a moped within a few paychecks, provided of course that I save every last penny of it. I'll have to wait until I get the 360 and atleast one game (as I can hold off on getting other games or rent them from redbox).
I could wait as I won't be able to use it for much longer anyway, with winter setting in. However, I have seen pictures and such of people using them even in the winter, I don't plan to do so but it's intriguing and I want to look into that more.
I figure it's the professional stuntman who dare use theres even in the winter time.
In any case, I feel much better about a moped. I feel like it will cause me to exercise more, it's better on the environment, cheaper on gas, and I don't have to worry about car payments / insurance. I still have to insure the thing, and maybe get tags, but I've read that someone here in NC has there's insured and it's only $100.00 a year.
That's just one paycheck.
I want to be more frugal and friendly to the environment, and I feel like this is one way of doing so.
I can't think of a good question, I suppose does anyone know anything about mopeds and can give me advice?

I hope you get some good advice. I have seen some really cute mopeds out on the street. I live in a capitol city and I do see afew. I doubt they will be riding them when there is ice on the roads though. SOmetimes we have a very cold winter with alot of ice. Not funny for moped riders.

I've seen some cute ones myself. I'm not really going to go for cute, unless it's at a good price and the speed I want. yeah, I don't think i want to risk even trying to use it in the winter, but that doesn't mean I can't March through November...
Our winters seem to be getting longer here.

Oh yeah I'd considered a secondhand one but the newer ones are much better. These that are cheap are still new and still come with a warranty.

I hope you find a cute one. I might say too that a new one might be better than a second hand one. Warranty and all.

Well it wouldn't help very much, but I'd be parking it in the farthest spot I could in a parking lot, so in a way it would. Had I a car, I'd be parking it as close as possible...
That's all I meant by that.

I don't know much about mopeds. I do wish you luck on your purchase, though. It seems to be a prudent one.

Thank You I appreciate that. I think I'll purchase it from online and have it delivered, though I'll have to be sure to be here when it is delivered.
