How do you resolve to be respectful to someone that you have lost respect for?Forgiveness seems to be a daily battle. There are good days and bad one. How do you give respect to a person that you have lost respect for?

If I were a saint, I would set a good example by being respectful to everyone, including the person who has utterly crashed my faith and confidence in the goodness of people. But, I am human. This person won't get it either. I will forgive and that's it. I can be cordial with this person when the need arises, but I'd stay away as much as possible.

I will not go out of my way to be respectful to such a person.I will ignore or be aloof so as not to ignite more anger and hatred. The other person has to do something to regain our respect.Otherwise it is a question of being nice for the sake of being nice.I will try to see that i do not aggravate the situation but beyond that one can't expect more from me.

Mutual respect among fellow is an absolute in this life.
For me, though there are people who do not respect or appreciate me in front of them, I'm keep must have to show the attitude to respect and appreciate them. We can not force others to respect or appreciate us but we can still respectable by showing them that we deserved to be respected
