Hiya myLotters and friends!
I know there are still some of us who are not receiving notifications normally.
And there are even some who are complaining about their flooded inbox with email notifications from myLot.
For those who are lost and could have forgotten how to edit your notifications settings, you may go to this page:
http://www.mylot.com/nr/editNotifications.aspx
For those who are not receiving notifications normally, you could try to change your email address, leave it for some times, say a week, and observe how the notifications will come. You may go to this page:
http://www.mylot.com/nr/editprofile.aspx
I hope this one can help you as this worked for me.

Yes these features work well for me as I do have mine all set and have not to date had any issues. I have had a couple times but I believe this was a momentary overall issue with the site.
I use all my notifiers "on" and have a filter folder in my email which all myLot notifiers go to so that it does not interrupt my other emails. This way I have them all in one folder and go to them at my leisure.
I prefer to have them on so that I do not miss responses/comments and also some discussions as well. Thanks for the community tip/reminder.

i too have added filters in my email and choose to place them automatically in separate folders. each type of mylot notifications with separate folders. new discussions go to mylot friends started folders, comments go to mylot comments, and so on.
it's really one reason i also want my notifications turned on, so that i do not miss a thing.

Hello neil,
I think I am receiving the whole notifications from mylot. If I don’t get notifications then it will annoy me. If do not spend time for online then my inbox may get flooded with notifications and it is not a matter for me. I can check it later when I have enough time. It will give me an insight, who is not active in there in mylot in my absence. I may not be able to participate in that topics but it will give some information what has happened in mylot during my absence.

Neil, Thank you so much for the BR.
Without mylot notifications my inbox may get deserted.

Hi neil!
My email inbox only get flooded with myLot notifications when I don't log in for a couple of days. Because I stay logged in almost everyday so I can delete those notifications after answering the discussions or responses it contains.
I have also edited my notifications a long time ago and I have chosen not to receive notifications when someone answered my discussion. Because with or without notifications, I will visit my discussions to check if there are new responses or comments. I only get notifications when some friends started a discussion or if someone responded to my response to a discussion I responded to.

How do you create filters? I created a filter for myLot but they still go to my inbox!!!!

good thinking about the discussions you started. of course you can see it when you look at them when someone responded to them. but on the other hand, i still prefer to receive everything so that i won't miss a thing.
i just set filters in my email so each type of notifications goes directly to the right folder. i have separate folders for mylot digests, comments, responses and even of deleted posts and responses.

I enjoy getting the notifications in my inbox. I have a goal each day and if I don't receive enough I will go to the site and find more posts to answer. I thank you for posting the links to these places and hope it helps others to get their notifications the way they want to get them.

it's good to have separate folders for each type of notifications coming from mylot. i named the filters and folders with "mylot comments" for comments i receive from responses i made, "mylot friends started" for notifications about new discussions coming or started by my friends, and so on and so forth.
i just sent you friends request. and thanks for the blog comment you just sent. you have such a very neat and very presentable blog out there. good work friend.

good to know that. well, if you will be away and opt to be inactive for some times, try to log in to your account at least once in 60 days so that your earnings will not get lost.

I seem to be getting all of my Mylot notifications just fine. Ever so often, I do not get them to come to my inbox, but I think that it is just a temporary glitch.

Thank you for the information. I am quite happy to receive MyLot notifications in my in box although at the moment there are around 1639 in there! I’ve created a special folder in my Gmail account and I like having access to them in there so I can respond to as many as I can whenever I can.

Hola neildc,
To speak the truth and not to tell a lie, I am not deprived of these notifications. I do not have any issue receiving mylot notification. Whenever there I see "Mylot Notification" I get to know what could be the content in the mail.
Your answer has been deleted for the question under it was deleted, What do you feel? I see myself a FOOL and sometime feel the question was pertinent.
What could possibly you do?
Oh yeas, is there an option that we can stop receiving such notification?

hello neil,
I am fine without notification.
At first I am so upset, but now I get used to it and even like it, no hassles of deleting notification (hehehe)
So, I don't think I will consider changing my email
have a good day dear brother and hugs to the little kiddo

you really sure about you not receiving notifications, sis?
by the way, you can always change your email address back if you ever try to use another one, just to observe what will be the results.

Hello
Neildc, I have received tons of notifications every day and i might consider deleting them again in the future. i believe by changing the notification of friends in your llist that's when you stop getting notifications from then instead of changing your email address. Unless, you disable their notification to you one by one

i just thought about this email address change when i happened to miss lots of notifications in the past. i tried and it worked well enough to get them normally as before.
with regards to friends "notify is on/off", you really have to turn them off if you do not want to receive notification when they start new discussions. there is no separate setting that you can choose from the events notification unlike mylot digest, best response award, and others.

Hello Neil,
Nice information shared.
I have my notifiers set and used to edit it whenever i like to
.I have no problems with the notifications even though there is like flood of emails from MYLOT in my inbox but then i like to get notifications as i know i won't be able to survive without them.
