Chelsea 2- Leverkusen 0... Chelsea beat Leverkusen 2-0 in Stamford Bridge The first win and i think can make Villaz boaz happy and always smile... it make they are temporary become the leader in standing in Group E But this is not easy game for chelsea..they until in second half for a first goal i think david Luis play good... he break the wall, when he run very fast from back and make a good cooperation with Torres and his superb kicking make Leno(leverkuson goalkeeper) can`t stop the kick.. 1-0 for Chelsea I think we can see how Villaz boaz try for reforming his team..Not more John Terry in squad even i believe he can`t play because injury But did not play Lampard as starting eleven it proves my statemet even Lampard is OK.. He try for playing Meireless as starting eleven and Lampard replace Meireless in second Half.. Villaz boas too give trust for Sturridge as starting eleven... i think i want to make this underline, when Torres play as playmaker i thinkhe can`t score the goal, but he gives 2 superb asist.. in last minute, his trying make Juan Mata is easy for scoring and gives 2-0 for chelsea.. i think Juan Mata can be a playmaker for Chelsea...another transformation from Villaz boaz i think.. he need playmaker and he can get from Juan Mata, and maybe Lampard position as central midfielder.. what do you think about this games??

Like I said, I was sure that Chelsea will beat Leverkusen, as the difference between the two teams is too high. Villas Boas tries to make a unique team there and he will eventually succeed, I believe. I would have wanted Leverkusen to make a surprise, but it is too difficult at Stamford Bridge. Lampard and Terry haven't played because in the weekend Chelsea will have a far more difficult game with Manchester United, and they were given a rest, totally for Terry and partially for Lampard, as he was introduced in the second half for Meireles. The goals were superb, the first one because of the great shot of David Luiz and the second one because of the action of Torres.

Villas Boas is a great trainer and he knows what kind of players he needs in order to make a great team. He has eyes for youngsters and gives them credit, and they will turn this credit back with good performances. Mata is a talented young player who is certainly grateful to Villas Boas that he has signed him.

yes, and juan mata coming make villaz boaz had many options... i think AVB is bravely taking a risk, when he try for changing chelsea default formation when Lampard as axis... no more lampard as axis...and i think it`s bigger different with ancelloti era..

More importantly, Villas Boas showed that he would not be very vengeful and would be mature enough to play Torres despite his recent remarks in an interview. I think Chelsea is beginning to gel together as a team. I agree that Torres is more playing a playmaker rather than the striker he is used to play. I think the current form of Sturridge makes him the first choice currently. But it is a good start for Chelsea and AVB in the champions league. Cheers! Ram

Group stages is never as problem for chelsea because they are easy games, and they are seeded teams, so they tend to have easier opponents. IF chelsea is not able to win their group games in a fashionable manner, they can forget about winning the champions league, regardless who their manager is. Villa boas is a winner at porto, but chelsea is not porto. Different management, different players, and it's back to square one, if they wants to win the trophy.
