About Digg Reputation !!

Hello Friends :)
I guess these days I am learning lots of about advertising. The last week I came to know about Digg from a Thesids(friend). So I got registered their before a week.
Till now I came to know about the site that we can add any kind of links of popular articles or sites to that website. And user who having interested in it will click on it and you will get the visitors for that site. So surely a good way of advertising sites.
You can give me more detail if I am missing.
We can follow user and interest and same way other users can follow if they like your work. Till now I was able to get around 10 followers but my following number is quite high in compare of followers.
But I have noticed that since I joined that site my reputation number of that site is still ZERO.
Why so?? I have commented many articles and digg may links. So I am good active their since a week their. But still why ZERO reputation ?? Can any one suggest me how can I improve their ?

Hi akp100,
You need to make some friends and get them to digg your articles. Making friends on Digg is easy. I'm sure you will find a lot of people with the same interests. They will help you become more popular.

Yes currently I am doing that thing. I able to get few friends on digg. And Hope the number of followers will improve. About getting dig..Yes I am having few diggs currently but I guess it will increase as number of friends will increase. Thanks for suggestion.

Like any new site it does take time to be noticed and recognized. Basically your loyal following will have them remember you and with time they will go see who is that guy and prompted to go to your profile and check out some of your links.
It does take a great deal of time and persistence to gain a reputable reputation there more so then other sites. Maybe because so many are already established and are continually following others so they get the same return.
Yes following means I see their content regularly. And yes such activity can force them to notice my profile. I will follow this tip. Thanks.

Digg is so hard to get followers. I been on there over a year andonly two articles out like 50 got a view. All my articles get no views. They been around a very long time and I think people are very frustrated there. it is not like twitter or facebook other sites like these. I wish you the best of luck.

oh.. Thats too hard. Yes even I noticed in a week that getting views for our links is too hard. And many other members are getting views in thousands !!!
May be they having more followers . That should be the reason. I am trying to get more followers and for that I am commenting on my interest related links. Hope this will help me.

I have a digg account and I use it to post my article links. I don't know how much it helps me with traffic, but at least I'll have links for my writing there.
