Hello Lotters,
It's
just hard to believe, that a student would do terrible things out of annoyance just to kill his fellow student. so young and yet so early for the student to die.
An elementary school student was provoke because of teasing and some small insult that led to pushing the 10 yr old child to the ground and choking him to death. the students immediately called the teacher but they didn't believe them, except the guard.
The blame is thrown to the teacher who was not around to discipline them. i wonder, should there be a guardian that would stop them from going too far?
I feel sad for the child who did, who is now in Department of Social and Welfare Department

That is sad, and the teacher didn't believe the children when they told her? That is scary and if my child went to that school, you can believe he wouldn't be going back..Is the teacher going to be disciplined as well? I mean it was her responsibility to supervise..

I know Hatley, and not to give the child an excuse, but he was obviously hurting and no one saw his hurt and so he took his anger out on the only person he could, another child..

That may be true where you live, but ironically here, it is much cheaper to pull my son out of school, but since he won't have any social life since I have no car, I haven't, though he keeps saying he wants to be home schooled..

Hello
Carmel, I don't know if the parents would think about taking the children out of there because it's probably cheap and nearest to their homes. but am sure the teacher that was assign there would definitely loose
her job for it. Have a nice day.

Children are out of control these days. Their parents do not teach them to control themselves and their tempers--although some children, a very few, are just stone cold psychopaths, the parents are usually to blame through their negligence.
When I was in school a teacher was on the playground at all times during recess. In fact, several teachers were placed about the area and they kept a sharp eye out for fights or injuries or situations that needed intervention. Don't they do that anymore?

Hello
dragon54u, I feel sad
for their restlessness, the child will regret what he did for the rest of his life. i think with out the spanking the child would be out of control. i think parents aren't allowed inside the school so the teachers have to be number one guide to the children. have a nice day.

When I was teaching, at least one teacher had playground duty at every recess and lunch break whenever children were on the playground. Although only one teacher was on duty, children were better behaved back then. Now some schools even have security guards! But the teachers who did not believe the students and would not even go to see for themselves are aboslutely negligent, as is the administration if the playground was not supervised. If this is a private school, it ought to be closed. If it's a public school, heads should roll. There is no excuse good enough for this.

Hello
steph, I agree that she should have stop them, but how can she stop them when she was not around in the first place? it's a lesson that children cannot be left behind most specially during class. but some believed it happened on recess. have a nice day.

hello,
Ohh? why is this happened? Oh my god? I was pity for both of them. The teacher did not really pay them attention that is why it was end up horrible. The child is not aware of doing it and the teacher is the one to blame because she never do her job for giving the students a good discipline and values of one another.

it is not the fault of the student i think, and it is not also the fault of the parents...
they are just kids...
it is the fault of the teachers (and for what are their title Supervisors are for)
bad if the teacher spank their students like those of another news that happened....

Hello
mantis, In an elementary school? i think we have run out of people on those positions. I remember in my mom's school during the early times that she would always be inspected by a supervisor and check her performance, she never cease to amaze them. have a nice day

That was a sad news. I never thought a 10 year old boy can kill at the very young age. He must be really hurt by the teasing and insults. I wonder why it lead to this, for sure there were history of fighting or insulting in the past that just grown that is why it happened. It was terrible a young boy can kill someone. Killing is never been one of the lessons in school, how could he learned doing it. Or maybe this boy have his own problems to deal with and that boy whom he killed was just one of the reason it sparked. I wonder what the parents are saying about it now. It was shocking. How can they moved on from this event. how could kids gone wild at the very young age of ten. I feel sad for the family who lost a son.

Hello
Grecy, This is one reason as to why children can't watch violent movies either cartoon or real ones.
but no thanks to cable and internet, not to mention dvd, they tend to watch these things and if they are not properly guided, this is the cause of them releasing their emotions. have a nice day.

i also heard about this news earlier. i also could not understand why the teacher did not believe the other students that the incident was actually happening. if she had just believed it and immediately went to check the children, the student could have still be alive.

I appreciate that teaching is a difficult job but I have noticed at my daughter’s school that only some of the teachers take a firm stand against bullying whereas others seem to turn a blind eye which I find very worrying. This very sad tale depicts such a scenario...Where was the supervision in this instance? As I said I appreciate teachers but when our kids are at school we do depend on them to ensure our children’s safety. I am so very sorry for this poor little boy and may he rest in peace and as far as the other child goes I am very sad for him too because he has damaged his life and may never recover from this incident. Sad...

Hello
Paula, Some teachers don't care anymore as long as they can show that they are teaching. I can't believe those teachers did not believe the children when they were informed as to what happened to them. there was no supervision i believed so sad that the other teacher supposed to be there might loose her job. have a nice day.

This is such a bad news. Children can act on instinct, or just get carried away by their emotions. Some, they learn from watching TV.
If this incident happened during class hours, the teacher has to be blamed.
I pity the guilty child somehow. At such a young age, he had killed someone. It will surely affect him throughout his lifetime.

Hello theresaaiza, I think most learn it from watching violence on television. i know because my eldest sibling didn't want his children watching television that they ended up really good in terms of behaving themselves. but i hope that child will move on as it is not the end of the world for them.have a nice day

Hi Letran Knight: It's hard to understand why this situation happend. It's easy just to put your finger and ask for a punishment but things are nmot that easy. There must be a terrible way that leads this boy to use violence. What about their social situation and also how was his relationship with the other voice, did he really have a functional family. How can we prevent this.

Hello ferbjohn, If
only the teachers believe the students first, but luckily the guards did. I don't know what those teachers got into their heads that they didn't believe those children, knowing children don't lie like adults do. have a nice day.
