Guided by own conscience or by any other’s advice?

Whenever I am in any trouble, I always seek advice of others who are my well-wishers and then judge it by my own conscience. If my conscience permits it, I follow the advice, if it does not, I seek any other's advice who I think is more suitable for the purpose but whatever it may be, ultimately I am always guided by my own conscience. What’s about you?

This is the way I also do it, I make a synthesis of the advices I get, I think about my previous similar experiences and I always listen to my reasoning. It is the best solution and usually that will be the best, because if you do it based on your decision, you won't have anybody to blame on.

This is actually a great assessment of how to go about making decisions.
I must agree with you that which ever route we take that listening to our inner selves will allow us to accept and not regret.

Yes I am one who listens carefully when others advice but ultimately I am the one that makes the decisions. So although it is great to juggle and bounce suggestions with one another, I usually prefer to guide myself. This way I have no regrets later as I have weighed all and conclude what I feel is right.

Since age 8 I have always thought I was evil . So I never let my conscience rule over me. I did what felt right to me. It may seem good or bad to others but that didn't matter! As long as I felt good about my decision, it was a good decision. So My answer is neither. Many try to tell me what I Should do but even to this day , I will only do what I feel is right For me.

I think as long as you add common sense to what your conscience says, you can't go wrong. Some times no matter what you conscience says you just have to do what makes sense, even if it leaves you feeling guilty. Thank goodness this doesn't happen often.

You are right, if we make our own decisions we tend to later accept that we looked at it from every angle and therefore, have no one to blame. It does serve as a lesson later too as juggling our own ideas when arriving to a decision will allow us not to repeat the same mistakes.

Most of the people actually just listen to the advice but do they really heed them? I don't think so. People with problems only want others to listen to them and hear others' opinion but in their hearts of heart they have made up their minds already of what to do with their lives. Advice would help though but it's not something that they always follow, especially if the problem is really that deep.
So, in my case, i just needed someone to listen to me and i do listen to their opinions and advice. If it's feasible, i follow.

I agree with you as well as sometimes we already have the answer, but at times we need confirmation of hearing that we are doing the right thing.

Yes we must have an intimate relationship with our inner self. It is our constant guide. We must long to have this gift that out higher self would be enlightened and show us the path to follow. Those who sincerely seek for it God will bestow that divine wisdom. Specially the parents who live as fully committed they do possess this divine wisdom

I would agree with you, I tend to like my own mistakes as well
