The Americas

You can find North America, Central America and South America on a map. All are very interesting and enjoyable to visit. In America I have traveled to California and Hawaii plus in Canada I have traveled to British Colombia and Vancouver Island. In Central America I have traveled to Belize, Guatemala and Mexico. Earlier this year I traveled to Colombia and that has been my first trip to South America. I plan to go back there and see lots more.
If you could visit some countries in the Americas which would you choose and why?
Have you ever been to a place in the Americas?

Areas of the Ancient Natives. I'd like to see the ruins and ancient areas of the Mayans, Incus, and Aztecs as well as the Pueblos of the Pueblo people.

I am an American who been to 45 of the 50 states (yet to see Idaho, Hawaii, New Mexico, Colorado, and Montana). For the US, I would recommend seeing Las Vegas and then going to southern Utah. Alaska is also one of my favorites.
I am nearing retirement and considering possibly moving to Central or South America. As such I would be interested in hearing your opinion of Belize and also Mexico and Columbia. I've read some strange things about Guatemala in reading about Belize. The people who lived in Belize said they were stopped by armed men when they entered and left Guatemala. Although Guatemala is located near several big retirement destinations in Central America (like Belize, Costa Rica, and even Nicaragua), Guatemala is not one. This makes me wonder if it is safe there.
Right now the countries I am interested in are Ecuador, Mexico, Panama, and Belize and I would like to hear anything about all of them. If I can do it, I might try to visit Ecuador and Panama to see what they are like.

I live in the US, but I would like to visit the Canadian arctic to see baby shorebirds because I don't get to see the babies when they visit in the winter.
I've been to Canada and Mexico, but I might want to visit Brazil some day.

So far, I have only traveled through America, since it is the continent I live in ))), but it is one place I want to go to, ant it is Machu Pichu, in Perú, I was going to go one time, but, when I was going to, the weather was not fine, heavy rains, and, news said, roads were closed, and even tourists were being evacuated, so I went to Colombia instead. I hope I can go next year.
