Hubby lost his wallet

Hubby stopped at Sonic last night to pick up hamburgers. The evening passed and nothing was said. This morning I was still sleeping when my daughter woke me up. She had just left work and was looking under the edge of the bedspread and around the room. I said, "What are you doing?" She then said Daddy had asked her to stop by and look for his wallet. So, she looked in every room, by the computer, in the garage, in the bathroom, etc. and found nothing. Then she left and drove to his store to look in his car. He swore he had looked there and it wasn't to be found. She called back in a few minutes saying, "He's a goober. It was in the seat of his car!" Having said a few prayers and a request of St. Anthony to help her find the wallet I was overjoyed that the wallet was found! It would have been too much fun if we had to cancel debit cards etc. I said a few thank you prayers and my day began. I'm so thankful it ended well. It's amazing how you can look and look and still not find something when you are a little frantic to find it.

Oh, I know that feeling. I actually lost my wallet one time years ago. It had about $300 in cash plus my credit cards and everything else. I didn't realize it until the next day and I knew exactly where I lost it. The only place I stopped was a rest area along the interstate to use the restroom. I was just sick about it. I had to go to work the next day and tell my boss that I was without a driver's license because I had to drive a company vehicle. I was planning on making all the calls to cancel the credit cards as soon as I got off work for the day.
So, here's the unbelievable part. After a couple of hours, my boss came out to where I was working and handed me a note with a name and phone number on it to the sheriff's office in the little town near where I lived. He said he had my wallet. As soon as I got off work I called and the sergeant said that sure enough he had my wallet. He said a truck driver pulled his 18 wheeler up in front of the sheriff's office and walked in with it. I went straight there to get it and everything was still there, including the cash.
What are the odds that an honest truck driver would walk into the restroom after me, pick up the wallet, look at the driver's license and bring it right to the small town where I lived? The sergeant said he did just that. He found the wallet and looked at the address, recognized the town because there happened to be a truck stop at that exit, then remembered that he saw a little sign at the end of the exit ramp that said "sheriff" and an arrow pointing the direction, so he drove right up, walked in and said, "I found this and I think the guy lives around here somewhere so I thought I'd drop it off for him. I think there's a lot of money in it."
Pretty amazing huh? I'll tell you, when you have something like that happen, it really restores your faith in humanity. I got the guy's name and address from the sergeant and sent the guy a reward and my sincere thanks.

Losing precious things is mostly due to our ignorance and sometimes due to scare or fear of our own. There are people who worry of small things too much and for them it is not easy to preserve anything as every time they fear of losing those and my view is to come out of these thinking's of ours

My husband has a similar issue with your hubby. He keeps on forgetting where he put his stuff, wallet and car keys especially. He is so worried that even he looks everywhere he could not find it, only to realize after a frantic searching that he placed it where hi usually put his stuff. Being in a panic mode makes him lack focus that even if he keeps searching the same place over and over again, he keeps on overlooking the object even if it is already staring back at him.
Hah! Glad to know that you found the wallet. It is indeed a big relief especially if everything that your life depends are on it.... Keep on thanking God for the 'misadventures' in your life, dear. It well end all right.

I am so glad that she found it!! That would have been a mess especially if someone had already gotten a hold of it. Consider it a good day.

I am glad he did not lose it out of the car at Somic. It is easy to overlook things when you are panicking. I am glad your daughter is so helpful.

It happen to us most of the time, that no matter how hard we look for something still we cannot find it. There are sometimes that we the blame to others or even being suspicious to someone around us. But after resting and finding it again, it will turn out that we can find it on the same spot we tried to looked before. Insane isn't it?
But is it really insane? You know what I mean hahaha LOL :)
