Double posted but NOT meaning to do it

double post - mylot and accidental double posts

This had happened to me several times already when I'm myLotting. There are times when I post a reply on a discussion. The next item would be a page asking you to tag your reply, right? There are times after submitting my post, I was greeted with an error message then I refresh the page, I was then prompted to add my tags then the usual gist. By the time I check my response, I already double posted. But I didn't mean to do it :P And since I can't remove my duplicate post, I can't do anything but leave it there. Anyone experienced the same thing?

Yes, I have had this happen to me from time to time, and it is often just a glitch of myLot. I have seen people have this happen even when starting a New discussion and it can be quite aggrivating for sure. All I would do is hope somehow myLot will notice it and fix it without it effecting your earnings and ratings here as well.

This happens to everyone from time to time. When it does, it is worth remembering that, once you see the 'Add tags' page, the response, comment or discussion has already been posted. If you press the 'Post response' button and get a blank page, the chances are that it has not and you should Refresh the page (just press F5 ... it's easier than using the Refresh button). If you use the Back button (or the Backspace key), you will usually lose what you typed. If you find that something has posted twice, it's not the end of the world. Just use the [!] next to the post you want to remove and report it as 'Duplicate in error. Please remove this one' or something similar. If it's a discussion and you haven't already added tags, it can be useful to other users to tag it as: "duplicate in error, please respond to other one". This can help people to avoid wasting their time by posting to a discussion which will be removed.

@allknowing: Maybe, since both you and I have said what Smacksman said, he hasn't thought it necessary to reply. If money were all that it's about, I would say that that was his loss, not ours!

This guy has not read my response it seems to me although he has been there at the time I posted it. I have given the solution but he has not taken it.

Yes - I have done it several times. But don't loose sleep over it - you won't be punished! Just hit the [!] beside one of the posts and explain your error and admin will pick it up sometime and delete the duplicate. Oh! I wish I was perfect, but ...

Hi kei! I always experience the same thing! There are times that I also encounter error and when I refresh, I am taken back to the respond box. So I paste* my response and hit the post comment/response again. After adding tags, I will find out that I have posted my response twice. It's really annoying when that happens. Usually I post another comment under one of my responses to say sorry for my double response. *I always encounter this error and sometimes, my response will totally not "go through" so I had the habit of copying first my response before I post it just to make sure that I will not lose everything I had typed. Especially if my response is very long, I will never forget to copy it first.

That's fine for those who have made enough posts to be allowed to copy and paste! It is tough on newbies.

So many times in my entire mylot life and well today it has happened again and its just a glitch of mylot. Noone can do anything unless reporting to authority to remove one. You may send a report asking to remove one.
