Alertpay has stopped using Visa and Master cards

I think this is bad news for all of us online earners, yes Alertpay a payment processor and an alternative to paypal has stopped using Visa and Master cards to fund accounts and withdraw online earnings. Do you think this is just temporary as they say? Even then, I can't imagine the impact it would create to a lot of site owners and online earners. You can still fund your account using wire transfer but it's too expensive (I think 15usd) and through your local bank but AP does not support banks from my country and I wonder how many countries they do not support, so how do we get our money out or how do we transact business using AP? What's your view on this? Are you affected?

I recognize this problem month ago when I was try to withdraw fund to my mastercard. It is very frustrating, I hope its only temporary. I use Alertpay a lot for sending money o my account. If Alertpay will be closed that will be trouble for lots of online earning systems. I hope they will stay.

oh, so your country's banks are also not supported by AP like mine? I wonder how many countries they do not support bank withdrawal? Then they would stop Master and Visa and force the more expensive wire transfer down our throats. I know in a way it's not AP's fault alone, but they ran a business, people trusted them so I think they have a moral obligation to remedy this before it gets worse. They say their team is doing it's best, hope they are telling the truth

I have an account with AP but no money in there so if it were to change any of its policies, it won't have any effect on me. I'm sorry to hear that it will be affecting many other members. Money is still money no matter how small it is.

I'm happy that you have no money in there right now friend. Yes money is money no matter how small, small money in the internet is big money because of the difficulty to earn it sometimes. It would affect not only members but site owners as well and I won't be surprised if some sites would close down if this goes on indefinitely.

The site is flat out going scam, IMO. The AlertPay website.... It still lists credit cards as a payment option - Until you want to withdraw. It says that there is NO FEE for checks - Until you go to withdraw. Then it's $4.00 It says bank transfers are available in the United States. I requested a bank transfer and waited 5 business days. Then I sent a nasty email - to which they never replied. Instead, my withdraw was canceled and says they cannot do bank transfers to the United States. Funny! They supposedly could a week ago!! Bank wire transfers are not an option for me so I requested a paper check via the mail. We'll see if I actually get it, but there seems to be an AWFUL lot of stuff on their website that is very misleading!

Ah thank you so much for relating to us your personal experience, it's well appreciated especially coming from a U.S. user who most of us would presume to still have better options. I've observed that too, I mean sites acting funny ( not referring to AP in particular) before they go down, it's like a boxer with a funny grin on his face as if saying "everything's fine with me" when he's about to go down or be knocked out.

I have just asked for a $30 payment in my AlertPay -- I prefer PayPal, but some sites have no PP option, and I think I will stop to use these sites --. AP has too much fees for a bank transfer to be really interesting for me. I have to use this money online now. AP is involved in several HYIP and I hope it is not the beginning of the end.

French banks are supported, but 2.5% to convert $ in Euros and 10 Euros for a bank wire -- it is free with PayPal -- is really too much fees ! By example $30 are about 22 Euros, and I will get about 10 Euros in my bank account if I ask a bank wire : it is not acceptable. And it costs even more if you want to send money to your AP account...

I never thought about sending money to Alertpay account. But I do think seriously about taking my money out of there soon. But if you say the fees are so high, I better forget about those money. I only have $27 there (most of them from microworkers) and if half of them must be spent on fees, I better give up on them.

hi friend, long time no see, so do you mean alertpay also does not support French banks?, it's easier if they do it like in my PP where paypal charges only 50 pesos or a little more than a dollar to transfer to my Philippine bank account. Like you, I will start choosing my sites now that has Paypal as payment processor. Yes, looks like good bye hyips for ap.

There have been rumors circulating for some time that Alertpay may shut down. Could this be the beginning of the end? I don't have enough in my account to really worry about, but even so, I wouldn't want to lose those few dollars out of principle.

I am not too much affected because I had only $27 in my Alertpay account. But I wish I didn't have anything. I waste time to earn those money and I am sorry for my time, not for the money. They already had a high fee for credit card withdrawals. Now they are even higher! I don't know if it worth to try to withdraw my "huge" amount of money now. How about withdrawing through check? They say it's free.

I think also that checks are only for US and Canadian members actually. Anyways clearing a check in US dollars from a US bank is not free, at least not in my bank.

@inu711, check if AP supports banks in your country by trying to add a bank, then you will know, same way i did. Topffer my friend, what ever is happening there, I don't think anybody wants to be in Pompeii when Vesuvius erupts, no one wants to be frozen in time before it's too late. better get out while there's still time if you have a lot

I guess Alertpay will lose a lot of customers if they stop using this big credit cards. I´ve made arrengements in Solid Trust Pay so that they have accepted my credit card and so far they have had a great service. I just have to transform at least one subscription to STP - but let´s see what happens. If this is only temporary, maybe I´ll continue to use AP service in the future too.

hello buenavida, nice to hear from you, so even countries as stable as Sweden is affected? Glad to know that other payment processors would be there to take there place just in case, yes let us know more about STP services in the future, it's not that popular in my country but I think we can learn more from you, thank you very much for sharing, think a lot would benefit

Seems like Alertpay had changed a lot recently. It is a pity to those who do investing using Alertpay due to its famous dispute service. If they are not allowing us to use those two credit cards to fund our Alertpay account, then it would be very expensive to use wire transfer service. Since i don't have much fund in my Alertpay account, so it is not a big headache for me. In case Alertpay really unable to survive for long, i think i will go look for my local e-currency exchanger, to exchange my Alertpay fund into Paypal or Liberty reserve.

I think what I would do from now on is look for sites that use paypal. the money I have in my AP I would have to add some more and just make a one time wire transfer to my bank. I don't think it's wise to exchange ap to pp because of the exchanger charge, and then pp would charge you again to transfer to your bank, perhaps if it's in pp already, the best thing to do is just spend it all on ebay this Christmas

Yes, thanks for the info. I haven't check my account for quite some times and you're right, I can't withdraw except for wire transfer and it'll cost me $15. Why this is happening? it really pissed me off. Maybe I've only got a little money in there, less than $50 but I earned it and I won't pay for the bank wire fee. I hope this problem will get fixed soon.

Yeah like you, we all have to wait and hope that it would be fixed, for the meantime I'm just leaving my moola inside my account, I think we just all have to go through our daily routine of earning but it's quite hard to do when there's something bothering us at the back of our minds

I only have a little over $2 in my AP account. It's not much but I worked hard to earn that. Shucks! I guess I'll just have to leave it there for now and stop visiting sites that pay via AP. Bummer!

yes. sometimes it's not the money but the time it took to earn it, some of my ap money came from a site that took months to earn despite several referrals and another month waiting before they paid me, yeah a real bummer
