What does "OMG" mean?

Hi guys!!I think everybody knows the meaning of "OMG" and a lot of people are using this expression, but what is the implication of this "Oh, my God"? People are taking fro granted the name of God and using it in vain. This should not be please give reverence to the name of God. There are a lot of expressions to use but let us give God the respect that he deserves and stop using "OMG".

I am guilty of this my friend and i already confessed about this.
So, lately i avoid using it already whenever i am surprised. I just use "shocks!" , whenever i am surprised. 
That way, i don't put the name of God in vain anymore.

English is not my main language so i rarely use OMG... i think many people aware that using "Oh, my God" in everyday use can lowered the value of the word God so many of them now using oh my gosh than oh my God, so OMG can also mean Oh my gosh....
