Ok, a little fun with the whole "Class Warfare" thing...
I think the only people who aren't motivated by greed are the rich, professional college student, Trust Fund Baby who will never actually work in any field, much less their field of study.
Think about it. No matter what the student's stated purpose for pursuing a university degree, someday, most of them will graduate and be in the job market.
If you pay your own way completely, you are merely investing your time and money, in hopes of a nice return (Just like those greedy wall street investors).
If you accept grants, scholarships or any kind of money you earn for the purpose of going to college, then you are perfectly happy investing your time and other people's money, hoping for a nice return. (Just like those greedy investment brokers on wall street).
If you accept loans to go to college, then you are willing to invest on margin, just like the very riskiest of the wall street investors).
If you're parents are supplying your money, then you are willing to live off mommy and daddy (just like the rich kids).
If you decide not to go to college at all, opting for a career in the technical trades, then any and all of the above still apply to you, if your way of paying for such training is listed.
In every circumstance above, you are simply a person investing time and money into something you hope will produce a nice return.
BUT! If you are a rich, professional student trust fund baby, then you are actually spending your own money (since trust funds are, by definition, the property of the recipient), for no hope of ever getting a return on your money. You are willing to flitter it away on one class after another, changing majors at will, with no thought of any sort of cost/benefit analysis.

Good points. Those trust fund babies and professional students are just as guilty as Wall Street of pilfering public funds--if there weren't student grants couldn't that money be used to help the poor?
What really bothers me is the racism toward Jews that I've been hearing from that crowd.
