49 rapes, same night, same area.

Shocked.
Yes, its true that in a single night 49 women were raped in an area.
hard to think in a civilized world as well its true that women are often being victimized.
Then where this case happened? I dont know anything happened in another countries but i am sure it happened in India.
Where? at Midnapore
When? on 9 January, 1938.
why? because they participated in Indian freedom movement, mainly in non cooperation movement and salt satyagrah.
who raped? obviously British police.
How? police entered in some villages of Midnapore and arrested males for their voluntary and revolutionary activities. Took in custody and raped females.
In 27 December, 1945. Dr. Sushila Nayar and Abha Gandhi reported about it to Government but no perfect result was found.
I think this is one of among those barbaric events of freedom movement created by British. Have ever heard such an incident or do you know somewhere women were assaulted such a way in group?
N.B.- British mylotters, my intention is not to hurt you by any means. Its all about what your ancestors did with us. No one cant deny it. Please forgive me.

If you read any History book, you will see that all over the world, throughout the times, the way male conquerors show that they have won is by raping the losers´ women. We, women, are the real losers
. It is still done in all wars, only media doesn´t show it so much because it is not well seen anymore. Read about what happenned to women and children after the Second World War in Italy (and in a lot of other countries). SHAME!!!

Not only the Nazis, friend. Check on History books. Read novels written at the time by italians. See what the soldiers who "saved" the italian did to their women. It´s mankind at it´s worst, no matter what party.

Yes i have a little info about the impact of world war II in Italy.... the Germans who were mainly responsible... the Natchi influence on civilians always were very pathetic and poisonous(!).
I always admire them who had a heroic effort towards invaders and sacrificed Themselves. Woman have strength but they are unaware about it. After that case i have mentioned.... later women chased such polices being a group holding knives, sticks and other items even stabbed some of them. I salute them for the proper utilization of their power. Raise your voice... evil men will begin to tremble.

During World War my countrymen suffered the same fate even men was raped by the foreign who conquered our country it was sad really but we can't change the past.
Pity for them.
It not only happened in your country it happened around the globe even without the war there are lot of people across the globe that rape everyday and day by day the percentage is increasing

You are right. But not like this one. I mean in a single night at an one spot and 49 victims. In latest news the president of Italy came into news for his rapist character. Mowammar Gaddafi of Libiya has his own female security group and most officers were raped. In Afganistan same case happened by Talibanis.
So, its a world wide issue but exception with my mentioned one in place and time.

extraordinary news i read....
i am imagining the movie before i watch about those Amazon woman's that captures a man to be their captives, slaves and to sacrifices....
ok, back to topic, so these were happen before, at year 1938 or 1945, i think during world war II this type of behavior happened also to the invaders who invade a certain country who made their captives as comfort woman.....

Shocking story.I do not know in here in our country how much raped in here in one time.
It is sad to hear about that, but it was long years hapened.

as you said i too am shocked to hear this from you.many of our freedom fighters nation wide had to face barbaric assault from our rulers that time.they had made a great sacrifice for us and we Indians are now spoiling away there sacrifices for not taking proper care of our country.

How horrible it is.Why people become so cruel at times?.They really forget humanity and become demon.
Yes we suffered alot mentally and physically during our fight for freedom and there are many of things we still don't know.
