All out war against MILF?

2 days ago a group of AFP special forces was allegedly ambushed by alleged combined forces of Abu Sayaf and MILF in Basilan. On the government side 19 troops were killed and 13 wounded with 9 survivors. Currently Pnoy is still pushing the peace talks with MILF and have no plan for an all out war. What is you opinion to this? Do you think an all out war against the MILF is the solution?

it's about time to do it. We have given them enough options and they have abused our graciousness. How can we know peace if there is no war? It is also time for the soldiers to clean their act and stopping making this peace talks and war as means of getting rich. It's time for the president to have balls about this MILF bandits. Mindanao needs peace, people there needs peace and once war is declared and finish off these bandits, we can have progress.

I have read the same thoughts like yours. Its funny because I read those back in 1970. Its been how many years of that kind of mentality and no peace happened, simply because all-out war is inutile.

have you ever seen the movie "MISTAH" ??? according to them on that movie, peace will only be granted if Mindanao should be separated to Luzon and Visayas... because if you look back to history, Mindanao is actually for them and not for the Christians.... so, winning a thousands of battles is no good... and in order to win a combat without fighting.... is to give what they want.... let Mindanao be separated to Luzon and Visayas and let the Philippine Flag revise to a new Philippine Flag with two stars (not a 3 stars)..... most of the Filipino people who migrated to Mindanao are came from Visayas and Luzon, but mostly and majority from Visayas, (Hiligaynon and Cebuano) Let be granted what they want for a condition of peace....

For me is a yes.... it needs an all out war is a solution to problem... here in the Philippines we have here only one form of Government to obey... and anything group of people who carry weapons that can kill is supposed to be eliminated but here in the Philippines is not, i don't know the reason why, maybe for business purposes..... if this happen to Japan and in the United States.... they will be eliminated as soon as possible, it will not stay for an our and the problem is already eliminated..... if you compare it to the bible: why is it until today Satan lives? God should kick Satan and punish it until it return to good character angel... if not, then all Satan's activities of temptations are all having a concerned by God... for i believe that God's creation are all perfect (including an angel that soon becomes bad satan) is Satan a perfect? Yes, because it is still a creation of God....

why would you want to call for an all out war? people will die in war, if you are a soldier well that is a fact to die in the battle field. the thing is what in the world does those troops doing in that milf areas? they are just new recruits well they will failed the battle for they have no idea about the place... i think its called area disadvantage... they have intel but then again they (officers) put them their in the first place... i think that they should be hold responsible over their deaths... its their responsibility to keep those men alive... and now because they are slap in the face with their foe they take it against them and cried for all out war... so childish! not good enough for an all out war if that is the only reason they have for the milf... the milf attack their enemy not the civilians... so not good enough reason for a war that would only increase the body bags.

I also disagree on an all out war. The only thing you're wrong here is that you don't have a clue at all. For your information if you made a research about what happened the government has a pending peace talks with the MILF and are hoping for a peace talk. Just a correction they were not new recruits as a matter of fact those are elite special forces of the Philippine army they were assigned in Basilan for an operation against Abu Sayaf, sad thing they came close to a MILF head quarters. They were ambushed by the MILF so it was surely a disadvantage in their part. They are not hunting for the MILF because it's clear that a peace talk is in progress. Over all, I don't want the idea of an all out war because many more people will get killed and civilians will suffer a lot and our economy will also be affected.

all out war?.that will just worsen the entire country's entire situation. can't imagine if that will happen, our country would be like Lybia. maybe,Pnoy should command to drop a missile or a big bomb that only the MILF camp will be hit. not a war, where innocent people may be killed or maybe hostaged. why not, ambush the MILF camp by way of aircrafts that will just drop missiles.LOL

i think the country will not become a Libya, but it will become like United States of America or Japan.... you see? English invaded Indians.... While Japanese invaded Okinawa.... and British invaded HongKong.... and all the results are not Libya but a progressive to modern high tech country.... here is my opinion: if those Spanish didn't forced their Roman Catholic Religions here on our country Philippines.... because Philippines is the original Muslim Country.... and now, what they did is to eliminate all the MNLF and bring Christians to supreme owner of the Philippine Soils.... Philippines is the Original Muslim country.... so better separated the Mindanao to Luzon and Visayas to make peace and not war...
