If you read other discussions I started today you know I am doing a large remodeling of my house as far as siding and all new windows. Also included is a new exterior light at my front door. The light I have now sure looks 50 years old or so. I shopped around for a few weeks looking at lights and we finally decided on this antique looking one in what's called Flemish Copper. Not cheap but I dislike buying cheap as you get what you pay for.I got this at Home Depot for a little over $60 after tax. The company doing the residing told me they'd install it for me free of charge which is great customer service. What is a good bit of customer service you've experieinced recently?

That is great that they will do that for you. I can't think of anything about customer service. Well... SIL got a cheaper rate on the DSL because we were going to drop it. They made a deal that if he would keep it they would lower it. So that was good.

It's always to good to let a business know you may switch to their competitor.
They usually offer a discount or added bonuses with that threat.
I've done this many times myself and have been rewarded.

I liked the old one better, if you don´t mind my saying so. But I´m glad that you got a good deal and that you are happy with your new light.
I have yet to check on your other posts for more pictures
Take care!

Summer before last I had to have the sewer re done, and then they also helped us at the same time get an electrical breaker repaired that went out at the same time. Then they installed a hot water heater after we had already left on vacation. I thought those people were really service oriented. Isn't it the pits when your whole house falls apart at once?

I get great customer service where I get my car done. They come to work and pick it up for me....make sure everything is up to date..like at so many miles they replaced the fuel filter....things like that....then they drop it off and I give them a check and off they go! So nice and convient!

Firstly nice choice with the lamp and I agree cheap does not mean better, in the long run cheap means replacing once again.
I have an excellent cell phone provider where no matter what I complain about they replace my phone in a drop with a new one. I was complaining about my blackberry freezing quite a bit last July and was told they would swamp it free of charge for a brand new iPhone 4.
I have been with them now for 12 years and find that the customer service people are excellent. Although they are a bit more then the other companies, I feel I get exactly what I pay for.
