Rick Perry might skip the next few debates

Do you think this is a smart move on his part or will it harm his campaign? In my opinion every debate he participates in, he looks worse and worse. He seems to be the one slingin mud and just looks like a pushy bafoon. I guess his campaign said he is doing this so that he can concentrate on campaigning in Iowa. What do you think of Perry not participating and why do you suppose he is making this choice?

Jon Huntsman stopped going to the debates and now seems almost forgotten. Perry should have spent more time developing his message rather than attacking Romney. At the very least he should have practiced his debating technique.

Huntsman was forgotten before, in, and after every debate. Personally he's one of the few that I actually WANT to see in the debates, but most aren't going to notice whether he's there or not.

I agree Perry took the wrong strategy. I think it is time for him to find something else to do.

So far it seems like Huntsman has made the least number of mistakes but then again perhaps that's just because no one is paying attention to him. I'd like to hear more from him.

I think that guy should just disappear. He seems to like to start fights and not wanting to campaign. Moron is the word that comes to mind. Look, all of them look and sound foolish, but Perry seems to be one prejudice human being. America does not need that at all.

I agree. We have enough crap in the Whitehouse as it is.

This country needs a complete turn around. I also think that america does not need parties. It needs someone who is for all americans, not just rich ones or just poor ones. This is a country divided.

I am really disappointed as I love to watch him stick his foot in his mouth. Actually I had high hopes for him when he first appeared but now he has shown the real Rick Perry he is at the bottom of my list. His stance on on illegal immigrants did it for me.

Well he's looked at his options and he's left with 3 choices. 1. Get better at debating, 2. Do what your doing and keep sinking in the polls, 3. Quit debating and pray that your numbers magically improve. He's chosen option 3. I think it's lazy and foolish. Even if I was a Perry supporter before, I certainly wouldn't be one now.

Great point, lazy and foolish. But probably the best option for his abilities

Well, at least for the next few debates I'll actually be able to watch it all the way through without hitting fast forward. He's probably making this choice because he and his staff know that he just plain sucks at debates.

he truly does. If he would actually address the issues instead of trying to sling mud, I think he would do better

His arrogance is equal to that of obama's. We've seen enough of that in the white house, thank you very much.

Perry keeps claiming that he's been cresting jobs but other than oil jobs (that have really been created by high oil prices) most of the jobs he's 'created' have really been jobs stolen from other states by getting businesses to move there. That's not job creation.
