I'm not sure if things are different where you live or not, but around here, if there was no room for the maid or housekeeper (that's what we call them)... the maid or housekeeper would work for you just like a normal job. They would arrive in the mornings/afternoon and stay until a specified time, then go home. The days per week they work depends on the your schedule and your budget.

You never know... maybe someone in near you would be willing to do it this way. It couldn't hurt to ask around.

You can ask the servant whether she wants to sleep in the living room or not? Other than that you can opt for part time maid who comes in the weekend by charging small amount of money that you can afford to pay.

You can hire a servant??? WOW....here in the US unless you are very wealthy, that is not going to happen. However, since you are able to hire a maid and judging from your previous posts, this is common in your country, I would be nice to give your maid a room of her own so she can have some privacy. Good luck!!

I guess your help can over/misuse the living room by sleeping on the couch and stuff so I guess it is NT okay to let your servant stay in the living room.

hi ifa I also live in the USa and only wealthy people have maids and servants really. so here I have three servants in one, me,myself and I. Now I usually tell the other two wha I want done but sometimes they beg off. So I have to do it if its to get done, we all sleep in the same bed so no problem there.

Here in this retirement center I am treated like royalty. My bed is changed once a week, and made every day ,my clothes are washed for me every frida y, I am fed three meals a day.So if it were not for mylotting I would be bored silly.

I wish.. Actually we would have an extra bedroom here. Thing is in the US it is usually what they call a cleaning service for those that can't afford to hire someone on a 24hr a day merit. We can hire a service to come to the house once a week, twice a month or whatever schedule we can afford.
Our home we do ourselves.. It is a dream to have someone come to our home to clean..

I do not have a servant but I just want to share my point. Servants keep the home in order and help us lessen our burden in terms of doing household chores, they have to be given a comfortable place to rest and relax when they need to.

I dont like babysitters or maids live in,if they have their own place and We dont work at night there is no need to sleep in our place. I feel there is not privacy for Us when someone extrange to the family is in the house. I had a babysitter back in my country and she came in the morning and left in the afternoon after I came from work, if we needed her at night we used to ask her and pay her some extra money.

i guess you are sooo wealthy
maybe that is becoming my dream too
