Are any of you writing for the Yahoo Contributor Network here? I have just joined and would love to "meet" others who are writing there and share experiences. I am a newbie at the Y!CN and would love to learn from others' experiences there. I just submitted my first article late last week so I am waiting to hear from them if it has been accepted. What kinds of writing do you do for the Y!CN if you do write for them?

I have been with Associated Content or Yahoo Contributor since late July or early August. I must have had beginner's luck because I was paid $5 upfront for my first submission. Since then I have received a few other upfront payments but none being more than $3 and change. I have earned close to $18 in upfront payments. I have over 800 page views total so I am close to my $1.50 performance bonus. A couple of my submissions were rejected altogether for one reason or another. Several others were rejected for upfront payments but published for pay per views only. I like the site a lot. I am new to online writing and this is the site that is proving most productive for me, this far. But I think that there has been a change in management or philosophy. I think that are making it very difficult to get upfront payments. I have submitted some good articles that were rejected for upfront payments for not very good reasons. They are doing well per views. I plan to continue to write for AC and submitted an article just yesterday. I write on a variety of topics. If you would like, I will send you a mylot friend request. Accept it and then I will send you the name that I write under for AC which is my real name. You can check out my articles.

Well, Yahoo just rejected my latest submission for upfront payment but I did publish the article nevertheless. I will still get pays per view. This latest article was about a budget hotel that I stayed at in Los Angeles. I have written about earning money on line, investing in stocks and music festivals, among other topics.

Hello capirani, I really love to write in Yahoo Contributor Network but because I was informed that they only pay US citizens, I lost my interest anymore.

Hi Capirani, it is formerly known and still known as Associated content. Associated Content was owned privately and bought by Yahoo. There is an interest group here, you can join and meet with seasoned writers. The problem is that Associated Content stopped paying international writers, so we cannot even earn page view bonus. I think all US residents should join, and earn upfront plus passive income, plus having a chance to get their articles on all yahoo websites.
