I have a friend in Arizona that I've know for a long time on Facebook. He has kids and is off and on with their Mother but currently lives with them. Five day's ago he said he was heading out to go to a bar w/a friend. The friend never talked to him or seen him or attended any bar with him. He has not returned home and no one has seen or heard from him since. The family is devestated and have done everything I could possible think to find him w/out police help. You see the police after three days said "he's a grown man that walked away on his own so there is nothing we can do." Now it's been five day's and they have stated they will not help now until the end of November if he's still missing or unheard of. WHAT kinda of crap is that. He was texting someone right before he left that he deleted the messages and his lady thinks MAYBE JUST MAYBE that person has something to do w/his dissaperance but they won't release phone records and the police won't try to uptain it until they have a court order which at this piont they don't feel is even close to necessary. ITS SO SAD. I want my friend home to his kids. I worry the longer he's gone the worse it will be ya know. Anyone experience this before?

It is the same thing everywhere : the police will not help you to find an adult except if you can prove that he is in danger -- going in a bar is not like doing mountaineering, and nobody asked a ransom for him --. Maybe he is, maybe not : running away is not only a kid behavior, thousands of adults are "disappearing" every year, because they want to take a break or to change their life. If the police finds them, they will say where they are to their family only if they agree. I wish that nothing bad happened to your friend.

Oh I know. It's so crappy. This world trully scares me sometimes. I mean you think you know someone and ten years later they are living double lives or this or that. I've def. considered that maybe he's out w/a nother female he met on facebook and living it up somewhere till he's ready to come home. At this point I think I'd be relievd to find out it was just that ya know.

We have to be realistic : the world has always been like this. I would also more bet on the girl met on facebook than on a crime. I only hope that he will remember after a while that he is also a father and that his kids are needing him.

As it turns out he came home yesterday I have no idea what the situation is as the family won't say yet. Probably like you said a female which will really dissapoint me. I am in school for Criminal Justice and learning a lot about kidnapping and crimes of that nature and it's insaine how many are commited every day!!!

I know I ran away into a hiding from all my friends. I have new ones now but I want to return to them. I had my best buddy from one of them and I miss him so much when my new friends speak of their best friends from school. I will go back. Hope yours comes back too.

Ya I think many of us have ran from our friends or as I called it taken a break from friends and going out and hyberated but not from everyone so that not anyone knew where I was or how I was ya know. It's awful to do that your loved ones. I'd rather they be mad when I tell them I'm going away for a little bit then to just dissapear and make them worry.

Wow ,that's terrible because I never heared that a man can run away without told anyone . And the police man ,I believe that they are rubbish for what they done. Maybe he went to his children ,maybe he is upset and just want to relax .But I think he should tell somebody that he will leave for a while . I 'm sorry to read that ,and good luck for you .

Thank you dear, he is okay as it turns out. He is probably a prime example I guess of why the cops do do that. BUT either way he is going to hear it from me because he really scared everyone in his family as well as myself ya know. Just sad : [ I wish for no one feel the loss of someone missing. I miss my Mom every day although I know she wants to be missing I still wish she was here.
