Now to find a pen and fill it out. Going to find a pen shortly and start it, but I am sure there will be a lot I either can't fill out or not sure what to put. I guess Monday I'll be calling them, or Tuesday forget which days they are open. Hoping to get it back in the mail by Wednesday at the latest though. Very thick application, not what I was expecting but should have been. 0.64 is what it took to mail it to me, so you can imagine how big it is. When was the last time you applied for apartments? It's been awhile for me.

I bet quite a bit has changed. talking to people who filled those things out in the 80's and even 90's, and up to today it's changed a lot. I'm done, just got to put N/A on portions not valid and send it back!

well, I can't recall ever filling out an application, except for the apartment finder site I went to and it wasn't much

I've filled out a few in the past, this is the longest one I've ever had to. Usually it's income and previous addresses, this goes into detail...

Great that you got the app. I remember filling out our app. Lots of pages. We have to fill it out annually too. One or two of the pages were questionable when we first filled it all out. But for the most part it is self explanatory. And then it takes for ever for them to get back to you.

It was about six pages, and one they had an X through that I didn't have to do. The waiting list is very short, so am hoping it won't take forever. If it does I will deal with it, and just be ready for when I do get the place. Still praying to be out by March!

Oh my goodness. When I moved into where I am now I couldn't believe the amount of papers were in the packet.

There were atleast ten in mine, and it's been mailed off. Before Thanksgiving, so it should be there, but I don't expect to hear back until atleast after thanksgiving.

I have actually never filled out a rental application. I have always rented from people I know or my family knows and it was never required. I have heard from people that it is sometimes a pretty involved process though. I hope you get the apartment you are wanting.

I've filled them out once or twice, but like you rented from family or friends. I've filled it out, I just need to send it in on Monday. I'm going to go by the UPS store, as I think they'll mail letters as well, and then in to work. Hoping I'll hear back within two weeks or so after that, as the waiting list is short, maybe I'll get one soon?

It's been a while since I applied for an apartment. The last I had was just a few years after I started working. I also kept moving around then trying to find a place closest to work. Buying a house, now there's a mountain of paperwork that's hard to deal with!
