Where is "itch"?

This morning, when I wake up, I felt a very itchy part of my back. The problem is, I cannot reach it. So, I grab a comb and I try to reach that itchy part using the comb. However, another problem arises - I cannot locate exactly where the itchy part is! So I have to scratch my whole back area to ease the itch. Have you encountered that itchy feeling but you don't know exactly where?

I am already itchy since my birth so years and years. my parents tied me up for year, my hands not to scratch everywhere it open till wounds. Ofcourse did not help since even then you will scratch by rubbing against your bed or wall or whatever. Terrible. My sisters did not want to share a room with me because of that. Now i scratch way less (always short nail to avoid infections) but still I seem to do at times without knowing. It's always hard to locate since nerves can fool you too where exactly it is.. perhaps not at/on your skin but in the blood- or nerve strain. I would ask someone to have a look (or can you make a picture of your own back?) Might be something like ringworm or insect bite, allergy which won't heal itself either.

You mean you were born with an allergy or something? That's too bad. Good thing you're a little bit better now. I also have some sort of allergy that can only be cured by corticosteriods. However, it keeps coming back and it's annoying.

It happen to me too but the itch came from the neck and I cannot even detect where it is located. Sometimes on my throat when I have dry cough, I literally wants to scratch it but i can't because even if I am scratching it, it is not getting relieve as the itch is internal. I hate the feeling, because you scratch it hoping it will lessen the itchiness but it is seem not working.

Yes, I have. I just kept scratching my whole back and it seem to be spreading the more i scratched. I kept scratching until my back was red. Eventually, the itch went away. If that ever happened again, i will have to take a bath.
