Thank G-d for cable. I still have my 1996 13 inch t.v. Why? Because it is hooked up to a cable box.The box controls my t.v. If it weren't hooked up , it wouldn't have a picture. I'm sorry . I hate it when electronics break down.

Agreed. I had my first PC die. It took about a month before I could get a new one. And I Just got a vacuum after months of waiting!

I think the power source will break soon , if you can afford to fix it do it now since you will probably need to change only some small capacitors and they are not that expensive but if you don`t do it fast one day a more expensive part will break because you have bad capacitors.

sorry I gave you the wrong comment, thought I was commenting on another discussion. No I don't have the money to get it fixed, when it blows it blows then I will probably just get a second hand small tv

I wonder if that is being caused by the underlying wiring issue. I have not had that problem, but when my electronic ignition on the furnace kicks in, it causes a type of interference sometimes.

there is some kind of connection problem within the walls but the electrician keeps insisting he has to be here with the power is out to fix it.

dont remember ever having that problem with tv, but yes, i do have the need so many things problem. i need my meds every month and now have went over my allotted amount on co pay. so not sure how hard its going to be now to get them. then, my kids here need so many things to keep the jobs they recently aquired. 
i had to buy my daughter tennis shoes and a black shirt. then help her open an account so she can get paid through that. now,her bf got a job today but needs a bike or some transportation there plus, tennis shoes to work there.

yeah me too, the tv is low down on the list of things I need, first the futon, then getting the electricity paid up and moved and then worrying about getting a sofa and arm chair, and kitchen set, and then I can look at the tv, It is just a small tv so it would only cost about 100 in a used tv shop.
