Time Difference

I had forgotten that in the US, they have moved one hour forward because of DST. I called my brother and wondered why he wasn't answering. He told me that it was still early and he was still sleeping and for me to call in an hour. I feel embarassed now because I woke him up unneccessarily because I forgot about the time. Has this ever happened to you? I think this happens to people who have friends and family in other parts of the world where the time zones are different.

I often have to explain the time difference to people, and they are even here in the US! Since I now live in an area that does not observe daylight savings, it is even more of a problem since half of the year we are MT and the other we are PT.

The first day that the time was changed my cellphone didn't change and I wake up because it was suppose to be 5:45 and I saw the time in the cable box 4:45, and I very sursrised and didn't understand what happened, but I decided to go back to sleep and find the answers later, then when I wake up,I explained my husband what happened and he told me that the was changed like they always do,is my first winter in this country and is difficult to adjust,I still have the same time on the stove,my computer and in my mind because I want to stay on the time of my country, which is one hour more.
