Hello mylotters,
As a mylotter, we respond to the discussions that we see under the interest that we listed. Sometimes, we create our own discussions on a particular interest. Some of us can start a lot of discussion some would just start a few. Some would become popular some would not. The question is, have you created a discussion and didn't receive a single response from it? I was going through my started discussion and I am happy to say that all of my discussions have response even, two or three responses I am already happy with it.
How about you, do you have any discussions that have zero response. How do you feel that none of your friends or none of the mylotters didn't bother to respond to your discussion?
Thanks in advance and happy mylotting.

So far I have no discussion with zero response. 'Though I've got a few with one, two or three responses only. Admittedly, those discussions I created were not so interesting

I see that in your discussions you really explain it well, maybe that what should I worked it out to really gives a details about my discussion, so that everyone will understand it and maybe responds to itjavascript:__doPostBack('ctl00$cphMainContent$btSubmit','')

excited to post your response?
Am I really explaining my discussions clearly? it took me time to compose those discussions, I am usually running out of words to say here
Well you don't need to be very detailed, maybe you can just give emphasis on the important points of your discussions and that will be okay.

I have started many discussions in Mylot and just like you, I'm also very happy cos all of them got responses. frankly speaking, every time I start a new discussion, I always hope there will be someone gives response to my discussion. you know what, I often reload my home page to check whether there's someone gives response to my discussion or not and I do it very ofetn..LOL..I do it after I started a new discussion. And I will be very happy if there's someone finally gives response to my discussion. Beside I can get money because comment back to the response I get, I can also share my opinion to someone. I like knowing what people think about my opinion or my experience..My best record in Mylot is I got 62 responses and the worst is I got only two response. Ups, the worst is when I knew that my discussion was deleted by admin..LOL..

I think I had a few responses that only had one response, but non with zero responses. It all depends if people are interested in your topic or not. I don't mind myself, really, but I do admit I love getting lots of responses.

Hmmmm I think we all love to get lots of responses. Coz I guess this gives us a feeling that the discussions we made are interesting too that it makes them jump and have their say on the one we made

Hello red_amethyst,
I had a discussion on which i did not get any response but that was in the starting when i did not know what to write on discussions.
I was hurt by that because i never thought that i won't get any response on that
.But that's the reason i respond to "no response" discussion so that someone may not feel what i felt at that time.

but sjvg when I go to no response I find a lot of them are by peopple who have never ever read the guidelines and the reason they get no response is because its very evident that these have broken the rules. nobody wants to keep wasting responses on discussions that when the admins sees them will delete them. I do not answer any discussion thats here with no responses for say a week as there is a reason for that. if I see others have responded and the discussion sill stands then maybe I will chance it but I have lost many responses in an effort to help someone who refused to learn the darned rules.

Yeah, i did have some zero responses discussion in the past. But i'm lucky to have a couple of good friends who never failed to miss them, thus adding some life to it.. haha
Most of discussions don't have much responses to it, so i'm content to just have one in it. ANything more than 10, is considered a bonus for me.. haha
When it comes to my friends, if possible, i don't like to see their discussion having zero responses, and i would respond to it if i can.. haha

being at mylot for almost 5 years i accepted the fact already that sometimes there are discussion that will never have responses. i have a few but its okay. it is a part of growing on mylot. its part of life as well that sometimes you think a discussion will catch attention but it ends up being something that has no interest to others. it is a great experience for me that next time i would start something catchy specially the title. har har har.

I have one single discussion with zero responses. I have no idea why its a pretty normal discussion and every other discussion I have posted has guarenteed responses. I think it may have to do with the time that its posted I guess people just miss them. But it has only happened once so i am not stressing it. I just started more discussions to make up for it when I saw that one had zero responses.

I have one discussion that has not received any single response. I had started this discussion before the other discussion which was deleted due to duplication. That was supposed to be the duplication of this discussion that is not yet deleted. The deleted discussion received several discussions and after several days it was deleted. The remaining discussion is still here waiting for responders.

hi amethyst!
just like you...
we are fortunate enough that none of our discussions have been disregarded.
honestly that adds to my fear when i would start a discussion that is why i have only a few discussions.
when nobody would respond to my discussion i would feel disappointed.
i mean who would not? at least your friends could respond i mean even a couple of friends out from the hundreds right?
it would lower my self esteem too.
but good for us we have good discussions started so i think we get also a number of responses.

I have some discussions with no response but it's okay with me. I think nobody responses to my topic because it was about my city. I guess no mylotter here is from the south except me. But I'd love to have somebody to say something about it.Lol. I learned something because of this. Make a topic that people can relate themselves into or shall I say, has a wide target audience. This is just my opinion. Have a nice day!

In my first in here when I post a discussion about the atrocities in Palestine. I notice that no one interested with such discussion. I got no response at all...till the discussion reach month and got one only response till today...
Feeling so disappointed because no one care about the people in those countries. War between Israel and in part of Palestine...

Getting responses ain't a problem but when someone starts discussion, I found few members that don't provide feedback!
I recall one in particular, received many replies but didn't provided feedback once!

I have had more than one discussion get a zero response and I have a had a few that only got one or two responses. I am sometimes surprised because I thought they were good discussions. And I expected many more responses to some of them.
I think that maybe it was the topic and the time of day that I began the response. Often it was late at night or early morning like 2 a.m.
I think that sometimes it was a subject that mylotters did not want to tackle such as the situation at Penn State or the controversy surrounding Chaz Bono on Dancing With The Stars.
For some of the discussions that only got one or two responses, I might later on get another one or two responses. I just got a response today to a discussion that I began six months ago.
And a few of my discussions have gotten many responses.
I do not take it personal. I think that it might have something to do with the topic (I am very big on current affairs as well as controversial subjects) and the time of day that I begin the discussion since i begin many of my discussions late at night into the wee hours of the morning.

Hello red_amethyst, first up, the answer to the primary question: no, I don't seem to have any zero response discussions so far. Zero response discussion seems terrible to fathom, even for me. Come on, at least one member did not find it worthwhile making a brief comment on? Seems highly impalpable.
. But then, as some here have already said, it is a sad fact!
That said, I feel encouraged to dwell a bit more on this whole issue of meaningful and inviting discussions that people-at least some sub set of myLotters-find good to join in. It is quite a challenge to come up always with discussions that prompt a few comments. This is something like writer's block that afflicts article writers. My rule is not to venture with a discussion compulsively [difficult some times, though
]if I am not very convinced about the value of the topic.

getting zero response, i never feel it.
Lukcily some my discussion become popular, hehehe...
My discussions always get some responses from my friends, the fewest responses that i get is 2 responses, but i think it is enough for me, and i am happy for that, it is better than do not get any responses from anyone.
if my discussions do not get any responss from anyone,i think it will disappoint me, yes it does. we do not get any advice and we will feel like we just waste our time.
maybe if it happens to me, i will try to look for another topic that more interesting than before.
but i hope, i will never experience about it, it will hurt me.
cheers.
cheers.
