Lots of discussions

Well, it is a fact that I am again way behind on replying to myLot friend's discussions! So I have been searching my mind for a strategy for catching up. Usually I answer the ones with single notifications first--that is, when the notification email just contains one discussion per friend. But lately my friends have been piling on the discussions to the point where there are very few that just started one.
So I've been just replying to the first in each series. Otherwise I will never get through them all. How do you cope? Or does this never happen to you?

I haven't really opened the email for it is full of messages from myLot. What I do rather is, I login to myLot. Then I go to my interests and start answering from one of my interests. When I'm done, and if I still feel like answering, I just switch to another one. It helps.

It is quite a job to reply to all discussions. So I only reply to those that interest me and let go of the rest. If some don't respond to my comments I turn their notification off. Those that start tons of discussions also get turned off. Sorry, but I have other things to do.

Some I have chosen to delete this year as I know little about US sports and nothing about foreign sports. I also have someone on my list who has internet and tech questions only.

This is what this place is all about. Getting ideas fro others to make our life easier and smoother. Take care!

I have long made it a policy to answer one discussion per friend, then as time allows to answer more of them. It ceases to be fun otherwise. Some of my "friends" never put up anything I can respond to, so I imagine I will have to start thinking about that situation.

wonderboy, I am one of the few in this world that doesn't have and have never had a TV in my adult life. I have never missed it except near election time, when I would like to see the presidential debates. I get me news on the radio, online, and on paper, and if I want entertainment, I read or take a walk or design products for my Zazzle store. There are so many more satisfying ways to spend my time than watching TV.

Well, I am responding to discussion that personally I would like to respond. This means that my responses to discussions are sincere and relevant.
Basically, what I am doing is to select only INTEREST that really interest me. Every time I logged into MyLot, I always go to MY INTERESTS section and began reading the discussions and respond as well.
For me, there's more in Mylot than earning. :D

There is another for for the interests. Well, almost everything interests me, but what you say is true that there is more in MyLot than earning, although I am only a few pennies away from payout again. It is not a get rich scheme here, but it does pay something after a while :-)

Hello drannhh,
I also find me unable to keep up the pace with what people start discussions as i too have limited time to respond to the discussions.
Whenever i open my email accoumt there is flood of notification mails in the inbox which bothers me and make me think what should i respond and what should not i.
But that happens and on mylot we can always respond to the discussions anytime.I hope whenever i will have plenty of leisure time i would reply to all pending discussions started by my friends.

My time is also very limited. I always check my notifications first. I sort of know which friends are most likely to post things I want to respond to, so I check them first, and respond to any they have that seem I can contribute something to. Then I ove on to the people than make many posts a day and catch up on their lives from the emails. That way, I know if there's something I need to respond to or just some things I should know going on with that person. I rarely go beyond my notifications. I figure if someone was nice enough to be my friend, I will do all I can to help make them successful by participating as much as I can in their discussions before I move on to others. But I won't respond to discussions that don't interest me.
I've been helping you out this week by not starting any discussions. I just don't have time this month.

At this point I am going to be happy with a nice payout alternate months. There is no point killing myself over ten dollars.

LOL, I think that before Xmas lots of people step up their activity in order to be sure to reach payout. For me it will be an accident. Last night I just got discouraged with all the replies I could not possibly make and decided to treat myself to my own discussion instead.

Hi drannhh!
I'm also way behind my friends' discussion! Just look at this! You started this discussion four days ago and yet I'm only replying now.
I also have friends who start so many discussions in one day and they have really pile up. What I do is I reply first to the old ones whether they are started by just one friend only or not.
Anyway, good luck to us!

I always am excited if I find out that there are a lot of response to the post and I am not ever bothered to respond them back. I also take my time to comment on someone post that does interest me really. I feel I like wanting to give my best shout to the people who have given me an appreciation in form of comment or response.
